The Steelers survive 4 turnovers to win in Dallas 21-16 The Steelers have had to lean on their defense all year long. The defense is actually give up fewer points then the stats show. Landry jones has turned the ball over so much. The offense has given up at least 3 defensive TD. The game started out with the defense making a stop and the offense driving all the way down to the 2. After two runs lost 2 yards landry jones looks in the back of the endzone and has a man breaking to an uncovered part of the endzone. But in Landry Jones fashion. He doesnt lead him but instead throws it right too a defender. Later on, a whip route is played perfect and jumped for a pick 6. The defense made stop after stop when the Cowboys could have stretched a 10-0 lead. The steelers put a drive together to get on the board. They had the cowboys on third and short. On previous 3rd and shorts the defense had looked for the Playaction pass with soft zones, worried about Dez and witten. This time they decided to run a 3-4 pinch and force a quick throw or get penetration. CB Cason knowing the situation looked for the short pass even though he wasnt in a press. Cason jumped the out and took it in for 6 for a go ahead score to put Pitt up 14-10. in the 4th qrt on 3rd down and having thrown short and intermediate a lot, Smace calls a combo route with guys going short to get a first down and much maligned WR Marcus Wheaton going deep down the middle. Wheaton had been the subject of trade talks. But with Emanuelle Sanders and Jeremy Kerley on the injury list Wheaton stayed on the squad. Landry jones set his feet and got the ball off and lead Wheaton perfectly on a post route. Wheaton caught it at around the 45 and raced for a long 76 yd td. The defense allowed another td but a great tackle at the goaline prevented the 2pt attempt, as the Dallas offense started to click late. With little time left Dallas eventual was stopped on downs in Pittsburgh territory on their last drive. Good game. Knicks Its crazy the Pittsburgh owner and president Grew up a Knicks and cowboys fan and now he was matched up with the Cowboys owner who was a Knicks fan. The Steeler owner said playing this game felt like Emmit in Arizona or Ewing in Orlando; hate to compete against them cause they are still part of the family.
Week 7 Titans Take Control of Division in Injury Filled Game After a bumpy start the Titans would have home field vs the Detroit Lions in a win to take control of division scenario. The game was mostly defensive on both sides as the score at half was Titans 9-7. Then 2nd half is when things started to get crazy. First drive in 2nd half Ryon Jelercic would take a sack and get hurt for the rest of the game, latest reports have him cleared to play this week. Shortly after that Lions saw Stafford go down and Calvin Johnson go down. Johnson would return as Stafford was carted off and expects to miss at least 6 weeks. The first touchdown for Titans came from backup QB Tyrod Taylor throwing..yes i said throwing.. the ball over the middle to Kendal Wright and Wright would take off for a big TD. Then later in the game CJ would take a toss play into the endzone and seal the deal. The Titans D really held their own today stopping that Lions offense. Lions saw over injuries to both the back up RB and a DE and also the TE. Reports are that some are serious while others like Calvin came back at end of the game. With this win Titans claim the number 1 spot in a very very tight division. Hopefully they can continue to push the lead. DET 10 TEN 22 gg BG

In this week's game Titans had everything working. Ryon threw for over 200 yards and the rushing attack got 3 TDs while the defense got 4 interceptions. Everything was clicking at home. Titans look to be getting on track and look to continue big things. GB 6 TEN 34 gg wayers50
Another week and another tough loss for the Baltimore Ravens. This qualifies as one of the the toughest losses that the Baltimore Ravens have experienced. The game started out well for the chiefs as they were able to effectively run the ball and move the chains and score on their opening drive. The total time of possession on that drive was a bit less than 7 minutes. The Ravens struggled early to move the chains as their run game was not very effective. In fact, the Ravens stayed scoreless the entire first quarter. The 2nd quarter started a bit rougher for the chiefs as Taylor bray misread the coverage and threw to the WR, but Webb was able to intercept the ball. The Ravens stuck with the run game and Ray Rice was able to score on a long run in order to tie the game. The half ended with a score of 14-10 ravens. In the second half the defensive battle continued as the teams were able to move the chains, but not to get scores. One more interesting play in the 3rd quarter as the Chiefs were stuffed on their 1 yard line and called a power run. Bray gave the ball to Gerhart who was able to break two tackles and get a total of 75 yards on that run. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, they had to settle for a field goal. As both defenses were dominating on the field neither team was able to put scores. So everything came down to the final drive. With less than 2 minutes left in the game, Ravens were down 16-14, had two time outs left and received the ball. After a run play for 10 yards and getting a 1st down. On the next run the Ravens were not able to get anything. To conserve time Flacco had to throw the ball a bit more. On 2nd and 11 Flacco threw an incomplete pass. On 3rd and 11 Flacco gets sacked, it becomes 4th and 17 on the Ravens 35 line and it seems that the game is slipping away from the Ravens. Now it all comes down to Joe Flacco and the Ravens WR group to make one last play and get the 1st down. Flacco gets to the line of scrimmage and sees that the defense is dropped back and anticipates deep zones from all cbs. The ball is snapped, Flacco sees that there is no heavy pressure and looks down the field. He sees Jennings running with the Chiefs cb backing off. As Jennings is running a curl he slings the ball a little early and Jennings gets there just in time. He catches the ball breaks 3 tackles and runs not only past the 1st down marker, but all the way to the Cheifs 40 yard line. At this point the Ravens take a time out. On 1st and 10 the ball is hand off to rice on a dive who gets 5 yards on the play. Then the Ravens are on the 35 yard line and would like to get a bit closer to make it easier for Tucker to seal the game. 20 secounds left on the game clock, the Ravens call an I-form iso and Rice gets the ball he gets about 3 yards and gets tackled as he is going down he gets hit hard by Justin Houston and fumbles the ball. After everybody jumps on top of it, KC defense comes up with the ball and the game is over. Final score Ravens 14 - Chiefs 16. Gg Cole. I cried myself to sleep last night
Jets Man Handle Colts 20-7 Week 7 On the heels of the sudden retirement of offensive coordinator Chris Ault the Colts hosted the NY Jets as a team in need of an identity. The Jets on the other hand knew exactly who they were and proceeded to pound away at the Indy defense while the Colts offense struggled to move the ball. By the end of the game the Jets running game had pounded out 143 yards rushing and let the Jets to a 20-7 win over the Colts. After the game the coaching staff and owner met to try and determine where they needed to go with the departure of Ault. Great Game bandit3324
Dolphins Spoil Colts Marcus Arroyo Debut as New Offensive Coordinator with 34-27 Win The Colts were looking to get their legs underneath them as they tried to adjust to Marcus Arroyo but in the end the Dolphins proved too much for the Colts. Despite throwing for 291 yards, Luck threw 4 costly Ints which the Colts could not over come. Trent showed he can still thrive in this new system as he rushed for 80 yards on 9 carries. Colts Hang on to Down Vikings 31-26 The Colts traveled to Minnesota to face the Vikings in a game that Indy needed badly to stop their 2 game slide. The Colts came into the game hoping to have a better grasp on the offense and limit turnovers. For much of the game the Colts offense moved effectively behind Lucks 275 yards passing on 18 completions. Things got dicey late as HB Smith fumbled at the Vikings 1 yard line late in the 4th Qtr only to see returned for a TD. But after recovering the onside kick the Colts were able hang on for a 31-26 win. Great Game BobJr
Jaguars Win on Last Minute Touchdown Jaguars came out of the bye with a gameplan. That plan worked for most of the game, but soon fell off after a bunch of crazy occurrences. Jags had a 17 to 7 lead going into the 3rd and had the ball. From there, that is when things got a little crazy. Bad playcalls on a punt attempt, missed FG, and breakdowns on defense allowed the Texans to crawl back into the game. Before you knew, it was the fourth quarter and they had just tied the game. Alston and WR corps decide to take over the game. Alston engineered a masterful drive to get them within score range. The Texans were probably gassed, as their coach decided to call a time out. The OC called for a run with the newly acquired Jennings who move the ball for minimal yards on the carry. After another Texans' timout, Gus Bradley told Alston if he got a certain look, to audible to a pass play. He did just that. The Jags QB noticed the safety cheating down as he did last play and went with a playaction pass. The call would prove to be the play of the game as Marcedes Lewis caught his second pass of the game, this time for the game winning touchdown. Gus Bradley said he saw some good things out the defense, but did noticed some things that they can improve on. Veteran Paul Posluszney was not in the starting lineup, as the DC feels that he would fit better in certain scheme packages. Poz said he accepts his demoted role and would still give the same intensity as if he was the starter. Jags are on the road next week to face the Buffalo Bills.
Jags Increase Streak to 3 Jags take down heavily favored Buffalo on the road, 26-17. Once again, Alston continues to shine as he threw for 269 yards and 1 touchdown. MJD made an impact in his return from injury with 74 yards on 24 carries. Does not seem like an accomplishment, but realize he was facing a mostly loaded box during most the game. Darren kept the defense guessing most of the game, hitting multiple receivers the whole game, so they couldn't key on one guy. Shorts and Blackmon had most the receptions with 6 and 7 respectively. The offense has been coming along since the bye. It seems the extra practice is showing promise. One can only wonder how much longer will the streak last. The defense played well most the game, only giving up one long run in the fourth by Gio Bernard. Other than that, the Jags defense held Manual to under 100 yards passing. Spiller did not do much better, only getting 25 yards. Gus Bradley said he was proud of the way his defense played and hope to only do minor tweaks to the scheme to further confuse the opposing offense. Jacksonville faces another high powered foe in the Chicago Bears next week. The secondary will have their hands full trying to contain the trio of Marshall, Bennett and Jeffery as well as the ground attack of Matt Forte.
Week 10 Titans Continue Winning Streak Leaving Pittsburgh Week 10 Tennessee at Pittsburgh saw a great defensive showcase. These 2 teams had similar play styles and it was reflected in the game. Both teams like to run the ball and play good defense. Tennessee just had things working a little better this week and Ryon Jelercic played decent today. It wasn't his best performance but he played smart for about 35 of the 40 minutes. He is continuing to improve and gain trust in his arm. With Rodderick Farrow still hurt he still looks for that main number 2 guy. Defensively Titans had a great bend but never break defense. The biggest play given up was a 39 yard pass play on a beautiful throw but shortly after saw 2 sacks and almost completely reversed the 39 yard gain. The only points given up were due to great field position on a Ryon INT but Titans held them to just a FG. The pic above and the play below showcase the defensive effort from Titans, Jones seeing a ton of pressure and the other members making plays. remember to play in HD TEN 17 PITT 3 gg smace767
Colts Defeat Lions 23-13 to Improve to 5-4 The Colts and the Lions meet in a game where both teams were looking to fill the air with footballs while yet still trying to control the clock. When it was all over the two teams combined for 63 passes and 539 yards. In the end the difference in this game came down to 2 key items. First the Colts were able to force the Lions to settle for FGs on 3 different occasions after seeing them drive into scoring range and a wide open dropped TD in the 2nd half that would have cut the Colts lead to 1 score. But regardless of the how they got there the Colts were pleased with the win. Great Game BG
Colts Rally to Defeat Packers 27-17 The Colts entered the game with Green Bay looking to extend their win streak to 3 games but the Colts knew the Packers 1-8 record was very deceiving. The Colts offense struggled throughout the game despite throwing for 333 yards, as the Packers kept the Colts offense out of sync much of the game. The Packers disrupted the Colts offensive flow and pressured Luck into 2 Ints and while also recording 4 sacks. But fortunately for the Colts their defense kept them in the game as they gave up some yards but kept the Packers out of the end zone most of the game. The Colts took the lead in the 4th Qtr when they caught the Packers blitzing and luck connected with Williams on a 58 yard Td and the Colts were able to hold on for a 27-17 win. Great Game wayers50
Week 11 Titans Defense Dominate Chargers on 2nd to Last Home Game In a defensive battle to begin the game it was this pick (pic and vid below) that would create a key opportunity for the Titans to capitalize early. It was this pick that lead to this huge hole that CJ would extend this game to 13-3 Ryon Jelercic is transforming into a better QB with a change in play style this change has given him more comfort in the pocket and trust in his WRs and leads to throws like below. Titans continue to look strong but face a lot of road games in the near future. Things are starting to get heated in the division and Titans are ready to step up. As the defense only allowed 137 total yards with a 63 yard gain on the final drive of the game and created 6 turnovers. SD 3 TEN 33 gg Cimmy24

Redskins are Off The Schnide, They get their first win via an OT thriller in Cleveland! It was built as the irrelevancy bowl, The Browns who were having a forgetful season, 3-7 hosted the 0-10 Washington Redskins, who have been accused of tanking for this Pablo character. Not the case in Washington, "We come out to play...and you play to win the game" said Coach Chudzinski after the game. The story here is the play of Robert Griffin III, who has been the butt of many jokes around the league. He arguably had the best performance of his young career. His counterpart, Chuck Machado played a hell of a game as well, despite the 3 INTS. Both offenses were clicking all day, matching each other play for play. The Browns looked to have control of the game in the first half, but then late 2nd quarter , the Skins were able to capitalize off of some timely INTS that allowed them to score 14 unanswered and to go into half with a 17-14 lead. The Skins received the ball looking to build on the lead, but were shut down. The defense held and and gave Griff another chance in the 3rd. This time they would put up 7 to increase the lead to 24-14. It looked as if the Skins were going to be able win easily, but....Machado had other plans. The Browns began to rally. Scoring several times to the tune of 17 unanswered to give them the lead late in the 4th quarter, 31 - 24. The Skins had one more chance to put a drive together with under two minutes and three timeouts. Griff led the team into the redzone. The next play would result in a TD pass to Josh Morgan on a slant to bring the Skins with-in 1 point of tying. Chudzinski, operating on pure adrenaline, decided to leave the offense on the field to go for the win, as his team 0-10 had nothing to lose, and had fallen off defensively in the second half. Browns called a TO to get the right personnel in. Calmer heads prevailed and Chud sent out the FG team and put the last minute of play on his defense. The defense held and OT it was. The Redskins chose to receive after winning the toss. On the first play from scrummage, Griff found Mike Williams on a Post off of PA that had him off to the races, but he got walked and tackled at the 1. Griff had had a hell of a game, and has faced so much adversity this year, coach decide to give him the opportunity to win our first game for us. QB Sneak was called. Griff took the snap, and held L2 and Square, resulting in an over the pile dive for the win 36-31. Game was one of the best, too bad HK didn't witness, as both teams are bottom feeders, and he focus is on playoff races. GG to Ryty , and GL the rest of the season to you and ur squad. It must be said...Josh Gordon is a fucking beast....that is all...
