DUCKS WIN 48-20
The Oregon Ducks, led by new Coach CA hosted Tulane in week 1. Oregon struggled at first, the chemistry was a bit off but it didn't take long for the offense to get in sync. The defense also faltered quite a bit but settled down and played great. A very explosive offense only had to be mediocre today but still got the job done in flawless fashion.
Lache Seastrunk was the player of the game with 14 carries for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns. He had some disgusting runs that amazed the crowd and could put him in heisman talks.
The Ducks travel to Nevada next week to take on the Wolfpack in which should be a step up in competition for this team that is trying to get things together quickly.

Luke Turner destroys the wide receiver and embarrasses him with his man power.
The Return of the Jedi
Penn State welcomes back Coach Cimmy to the sidelines and they couldn't give him a better gift. The defense absolutely man handled Syracuse, forcing 11 total sacks on the day, 6 of which were by DE Jordan Collins, tying the NCAA record for sacks in a game. On the offensive side of the football, HB Silas Redd had a Heisman performance with 20 carries for 192 yards and 3 touchdowns, helping the Nittany Lions beat Syracuse 42-12 in the dome.
2nd Half Statement
Things were supposed to go smoothly in week 1 for Nebraska. A new coach, new attitude, and a home game against Wyoming had all the feelings of a cake-walk. However, someone forgot to tell Wyoming who started off hot and raced to a 24-7 lead with 4:51 left in the 1st half. Obviously agitated by his erratic QB and useless defense, Coach Zikry took a timeout and let rip into this QB. Telling him to shape up for sit down. Martinez's response? A 72 yard strike 20 seconds later that saw Nebraska creep back to within 10, and once the dust settled, Nebraska would emerge victorious 49-24, as the defense pitched a shutout for the entire 2nd half. Next up for the Cornhuskers is a trip to face Southern Miss.

Nebraska returned home for this week 3 showdown against UCLA not knowing what to expect from the PAC team. However, before the Nebraska offense ever took a snap, they were already ahead 14-0 thanks to 2 Charles Jackson interceptions for TDs. UCLA would respond late in the 1st quarter with a TD of their own to make the score 14-7 after 1 quarter of play.
Both defenses stood firm in the 2nd quarter, with each team giving up a FG to give the Cornhuskers the 17-10 lead at the half. Nebraska would score the first 10 points in the 2nd half to increase their lead to 17, and although they did give up their first points in the 2nd half this season on a 66 yard pass, the defense was able to add 2 more INTs in the 2nd, and outscored UCLA 34-7 in the 2nd half to give Nebraska their 3rd win in a row.

Nittany Lions Slash Wolverines
PSU put it on Michigan early, going up 21-0 in the first quarter. The Wolverines stormed back with 14 unanswered points and made it a ball game. In the 4th quarter, PSU would score FG and a TD, giving them a 31-14 lead that they would not give up. WR Patrick Flanagan started the game off by bringing the opening kickoff all the way. After a defensive stand by the Nittany Lions, QB Rob Bolden found Flanagan again, this time for a 43 yard score. Flanagan would gain POG honors. Heisman hopeful Silas Redd continued his record breaking season by eclipsing 118 yards and 2 TDs on the ground. Redd is only 22 yards away from the 1,000 yard mark and has already recorded career high numbers for the bruiser from Connecticut.
