    Season 3: Week 10

    Buffalo Plows Bowling Green

~Buffalo was covered in the white stuff for this night game against the Falcons of Bowling Green. BG would get the first strike and seemed unstoppable after a 61 yard pass to Barnes from QB Sheehan. Buffalo would be forced to punt, a 3 and out for the BG defense and the Bulls fans began to worry. They wouldn't need to bite their nails too much as Buffalo would march down the field and score on a 4 yard run by HB Nduka. With 38 seconds left in the half, Buffalo would fumble the ball inside the BG 35. The Falcons threw 3 quick strikes and kicking into 12 MPH winds would manage a 47 yard FG, after missing a 36er with the wind helping them. Yes miracles do happen. With 1 second left in the half BG would take the lead 10-7...not so fast my friend. WR Roosevelt would take the ensuing kickoff 82 yards for the go ahead score going into the locker room 14-10 Buffalo.

After the half, Buffalo would get the ball back. 13 seconds after BG goes up 10-7, Buffalo would take a 21-10 lead as Roosevelt took another kickoff all the way, this time 100 yards for the score. It would be all Buffalo from here as they would go on to win 31-17. Next week Buffalo will host the Ohio Bobcats as they look to see Army fall to get themselves into the MAC Championship game.

    Key Stats:

    #8 Stanford vs UTEP

Stanford has little trouble dismantling The Miners in El Paso. Stanford jumped out to a 21-7 lead behind their to offensive leaders; QB Andrew Luck and RB Stepfan Taylor. Taylor would get the scoring started on this 40 yd scamper early in the 1st.

UTEP responded with a long td pass of their own to tie the game up at 7-7. On the very next play, this happened:

Stanford's J Stewart returns the kickoff 98 yds, but failed to get in the endzone. Stepfan Taylor would get the score the very next play to give Stanford a 14-7 lead.

The Cardinal defense would get a 3 and out and on the first play of the drive, this happened:

Andrew Luck hits Owusu for a 75 yd td pass to go up 21-7 at the end of one.

Up 31-7 late in the second qtr, this happened to seal the game and play for The Stanford first stringers:

Stanford's CornerBack C Gatewood would intercept the pass from UTEP's QB and return it 74 yds for the score.

The game was pretty much over at the half as Coach Forever put it in cruise control with all the second teamers the entire second half.

    Final Score:

    Stanford: 55

    UTEP: 14

    SMU SURVIVES FURIOUS COMEBACK

The Mustangs got off to a furious start jumping out to a 21-0 lead behind a new found running game. The 3rd touchdown came in the form of this 72yrd TD catch by Robinson as Rice tried to load the box to stop the run.

SMU would tack on two field goals to take a 27-0 halftime lead. In come the subs after one series into the 3rd for supposedly some mop-up time. Rice starts to drive the field as an uneventful 3rd comes to a close. Another big stand for the SMU defense puts SMU's offense back on the field. Then, the flood gates opened...31 yrd fumble return for a TD. SMU drives again but is forced to punt. On 4th down from the 1 Rice QB Shephard finds Randolph for a TD. After a 3 and out for SMU here come the Owls again...16 yrd TD reception by Dupree. SMU recovers the onside kick and brings the starters back in with 54 seconds left and holding onto a 27-21 lead. But, Rice still has all 3 timeouts remaining giving the a shot to steal the game yet. That dream would be washed away on the next play as McNeal takes the Wildcat snap up the middle for a 35yrd TD run to seal the win for the Mustangs.

    Troy 17 WKU 10

Troy showed why they should be the team to beat in the Sun Belt. They took a 10-7 lead at the half with the help of a nice TD reception by Boyd, their TE.

Opening drive of 3rd quarter they took a 17-7 lead with some nice passing to set up the TD. WKU clawed back in game with an interception yjay led to the FG for 17-10. Troy was able to run clock down to around 40 seconds left I think and WKU was able to get in position for a couple of hail mary that fell harmlessly to the ground.

WKU would like to congratulate the Trojans for a well played game. We wish the boys at Troy good luck the rest of the season. We see them as the favorite to win the conference.

I thought the SS #31 tipped it/knocked it down but the position of the players, he knocked it into Boyd who caught it. It was a nice TD, and a great game.

    UNLV 44, Colorado St. 28

The first half was fast and furious, with very little D. UNLV headed to the locker room up 28-21. After receiving the 2nd half kick off, UNLV didn't do much, but the D awoke and held CSU to 7 second half pts and the Rebels manged to score 16.
