    Season 3 - Week 13 scores

    Texas 16
    TAMU 56

In a game that was expected to test the mettle of the undefeated Aggies, instead TAMU staked their claim as the dominant team of the Big 12 South. The story of this game was that the Horns came out looking to blitz QB Ryan Tannehill into oblivion, and Tannehill and his WR's were able to make them pay for it, hitting 5 passes over 40 yards, 2 of them for TD's. Texas was hampered on offense by having to play a backup QB as starter Garrett Gilbert was injured for the game.

The Aggies finish the Big 12 regular season undefeated and look forward to a matchup with Coach Dakota's Colorado Buffaloes in the conference title game.

The Buffs finish the Big 12 season undefeated and exact a little revenge on the Huskers for last years loss. Tyler Hansen had his worst game of the year, completing less than 50% of his passes for 220 yards, 1 td and 3 int. Hansen also ran for a score. Luckily, Senior Safety Ben Wells was outstanding, registering 13 tackles, 2 sacks and breaking the Huskers' collective backs with a 107 yard int return for a td. Next up is the Big 12 title game and Texas AM baby!!!

The Rebs CB marcus Temple had the game of a lifetime, getting 2 tackles, 2 ints, and returned a fumble 38 yards for 6 to lead the Rebel defense to victory.

QB Nathan Stanley was yanked after missing 2 wide open passes and Enrique Davis took over rushing 38 times for 178 and 2 tds.

    #17 Minnesota - 49
    Wisconsin - 29

Minnesota wins Paul Bunyon's Axe behind the efforts of MarQueis Gray and the new focus on the passing game. The Wisconsin defense played the run for most the game, allowing Gray to take advantage of an often out of place secondary. Minnesota has wrapped up a 2nd place finish in the Big 10 for the 2nd time in 3 years. Following two byes, the Golden Gophers are currently slated to take on Ole Miss in the Capital One Bowl, a rematch from last year. Minnesota also beat the Rebels 27-20 earlier in the year, and this budding rivalry could add another dramatic chapter in a few short weeks.

Came down to a 4th and goal on the 2 yard line with Papa having a run stopped at the 1 with 0:00 showing on the clock, going for the win rather than OT. A very good game with USF mounting a comeback in the 2nd half being down 11. A questionable call by coach Papa in the 3rd quarter (going for 4th and 4 on his own 36) started the comeback by coach scarecrow.

    UNC 45 Iowa 41

This game was a battle but UNC pulled it out. Iowa lead 31-17 at half time. Later in the 3rd quarter UNC score 14 quick points to tie the score 31-31. Iowa then marched down the field and kicked a field goal to take a 34-31 lead. Emmdot then made one of the best user plays I have seen and blitzed the three hole I was running in. User forced a fumbled and then user picked it up and ran in for a score. 41-31 early 4th quarter.

Down 41-31 with 5 minutes to go with the UNC winning streak and National Title hopes on the line, Back up quarterback Mike Paulus went to work. He lead the Heels on a scoring drive that was capped by a 34 yard touchdown reception by Hunter Furr.

The score is now 41-38 and Iowa is getting the ball back with out 4 minutes to go. The Heels defense was able to force a punt. Paulus lead the Heels down the field and punced in the go ahead score on a 1 yard run with 48 seconds to play.

The Tar Heel defense was able to get a stop and the Heels win and march into next weeks '09 National Championship rematch with Texas A&M.
