    Season 3: week 13

    WKU 23 #18 FAU 7

Bobby Rainey comes back from injury to lead the Hilltoppers to victory by rushing for over 100 yards in the win. Big win came with a big cost though. QB Smith is out for rest of season with a dislocated elbow. The senior displayed great leadership for WKU this season and his leadership on the field will be missed. Kawaun Jakes is now the starter.

ARkansas St is next as WKU hopes to make it to the bowls.

    Nevada vs #5 Stanford

Stanford's defense peaks at optimal time of the season. The Cardinal defense once again received a shut-out in consecutive weeks. Although the oposing team scored, it was not a any fault of the defense. The only points surrendered came at the hands of the offense on a int return for a td by the Nevada defense.
Stanford continued as they have all year by pounding the ball in lue to 49 rushing attempts for 295 yds. For the third consecutive game, Stepfan Taylor and Toby Gerhart both topped the 100 yd mark. Each also added a score on the ground. The Stanford defense held a very talented offense of Nevada to 98 yds of total offense and 1 for 15 on third down conv. However, Nevada was without probably their best player, QB Colin Kapernick, who is recovering from a broken ankle suffered earlier this season.

The win improves Stanford's season record to 11-0(7-0). Next week, Stanford concludes their season at home against New Mexico State.

As of now, Stanford must win their final game and get some help from several teams in order to be considered for the NC game. "All we can do is control what we can. We must take care of business against New Mexico State. The rest will work itself out."

    Final Score:

    Nevada: 7

    Stanford: 48

Kansas State 30 Washington state 8

Kansas State ends the season on a perfect note, going 12-0, after defeating Wash St handely 30-8. KSU's offense struggled early with 5 dropped passes, but could afford it due to their suffocating defense. Brandon Banks, leading heisman candidate, shined once again with 8 rec. for 200+ yards and 3 TD's. KSU needs alot of help in order to play in the National Championship, but they can only sit back and watch as of now.
