    Dolphins 23 - Seahawks 10
DT Paul Soliai led the Dolphins defensive effort with multiple sacks on Seahawks QB Russell Wilson.
    MIAMI -

In Coach GTG's first game back with HK, the struggling Dolphins he took over were able to get back in the win column after week upon week of losing football.

Miami's halfback MJD was able to get the new run oriented offense off to a successful start, and finished with over 100 yards rushing on the day. Coach GTG made it clear that his football team will get off the bus running week in and week out. Look for MJD to continue to get his share opportunities in future games.

Dolphins QB Mark Sanchez struggled early after his first two pass attempts were a drop and interception respectively. With less than 20 attempts during the game, it appears that the new coach will utilize Sanchez as more of a game manager than rely on his below-average arm. Despite this, Sanchez was able to hook up with TE Tony Fasano on a long TD pass that proved to be the difference in the game.

The Dolphins defense looked dominant as they were able to apply plenty of pressure on Russell Wilson, causing 8 sacks and an interception. Coach GTG emphasized his belief in the 4-3 defense that he learned as a protege of Lovie Smith.

The special teams personnel also got in on the team's success as they returned a kick off for a TD to start the second half of the game.

Coach GTG had this to say after the game:

"I think this week's efforts showed that the Miami Dolphins have a bright future," said GTG. "The guys really responded to our game plan, and I look forward to working with everyone throughout the upcoming off season."

The NFL coaches Silly season started early this year was week 16 the departure of 2 veteran coaches which got the coaching carousel spinning. The NY Giants were one of those teams that say their veteran coach retire from the league. In their search for a new head coach they surprised some around the league when they announced the hiring of Coach uagrad90 who at the time was the Head Coach of the Miami Dolphins. After going 8-8 his first 2 years in the league, this years Dolphin team seemed to be snake bit as they seemed to find a new way to lose each week in route to a surprising 2-12 record.
In his debut as the Giants Head Coach it was not going to be easy to get a win as the Giants hosted fordtuff504 and his 12-3 New Orleans Saints. The Saints came into the came with one of if not the highest scoring offenses in the league averaging over 40 points per game while only allowing 21 points a game. For the Giants to get a win it would take a balanced effort on offense and a mistake free effort on defense.
On this day that is exactly what the Giants delivered as Eli threw for 169 yards and 1 TD an 0 Ints while Ward rushed for 79 yards on 20 carries. But more importantly the Giants defense held Brees to 181 yards passing while picking him off 3 times and held Thomas to 33 yards rushing on. The 2 key events in the game came when the Giants got a pick 6 off Brees and then Eli's ability to convert over 40% of their 3rd down opportunities.
With the win the Giants secured their spot in the playoffs as Coach uagrad90 began working on a plan for the off-season.
    Great Game fordtuff504
