Patriots Defeat Bills 35-28 The first half ended with a score of 20-14 as the Bills defense was able to force 2 field goals in the last 2 minutes. The Bills were determined to make it a game in the second half and they sure did. Leading at one point by 8. Tom Brady wouldn't let that happen as he led the team back to a tie. The defense forced a punt and the Pats managed the game from there on out. Mainly by way of rushing. Controlling the clock and forcing the Bills to use their 3 timeouts. The Bills could not advance and turned it over on downs. A lot of balls were dropped by the Patriots offense but they also managed to have a big day through the air. The Patriots piled on 489 yards of total offense. Tom Brady went 22-38 for 398 yards but only 2 touchdowns with 1 interception. Stevan Ridley carried 11 times for 62 yards. Delino Jones ran 6 times for 22 yards and 1 score and Shane Vereen stunk it up with 5 carries for just 7 yards but 1 touchdown. Gronkowski had 6 catches for 76 yards, Brandon Lloyd had 6 for 90 and Wes Welker grabbed 5 for 114. Rookie Marcus Hines hauled in 2 catches for 52 yards and 1 touchdown and Stevan Ridley grabbed the other TB TD. Defensively, Jerod Mayo was a nightmare with 8 solo tackles and 4 TFL. The Pats D had 4 sacks on the day. Jake Bequette, Chandler Jones, Shaun Phillips and Jerod Mayo combined for those.
