Purdue defense steps up against Iowa

With a bye week last week, the Boilermakers had two weeks to prepare for the Hawkeyes and the defense looked well prepared. Iowa would drive down for a field goal on their first drive, but were shutout after that by the Purdue defense. They limited the Iowa offense to 115 yards on the day. Meanwhile the Purdue offense came out with a balanced attack and quarterback Jacob Russell had the most impressive showing for a QB in the Qwon era. He was 16-25 for 312 yards and 2 TDs. The running game was there as well with the two headed monster of Brandon Cottom and David Gentry combining for 123 yards on the ground.

    Final:
    Purdue- 31
    Iowa- 3

Yeah dude has been slacking lately. Word through the TSO grapevine is that he got locked up last night so we shouldn't be too hard on him.
