#23 Alabama 52 Wisconsin 38 The Crimson Tide rolled out the new and improved offense and rolled over the Badgers. QB Alec Morris threw for almost 400 yards and 2 touchdowns as he competently led Crimson Tide offense. The player of the game was HB Dee Hart who gained a total of 300 all purpose yards, scoring 3 touchdowns, one rushing, one receiving, and one on a kickoff return. Wisconsin's QB J. Stave threw for 432 yards and 5 TDs, but most of it was in a losing effort as the Tide took a commanding 49-24 lead into the fourth quarter as the Tide outscored the Badgers 28-7 in the third quarter. Side note, Alabama has a nominee for Stone Hands" of the Year Award, Freshman CB Sam Alvarez. He could have had four interceptions, but ended the game with zero. Four times the ball was thrown to him, and four times he fucking dropped it.
Georgia 41 Miami 20 Turnovers doomed the Hurricanes in the first half, and Coach Dru's plan to use Heisman winner Keith Marshall as a decoy helped put points on the board early, as Georgia would jump out to a first half 34-6 lead. Miami would go straight shotgun air raid offense the remainder of the way and were able to get within 14 points before a TD pass to TE Ty Smith put the game away for good. Good game Boom29 Key stats: Miami QB Christian Smith - 22-46, 309 yards, 3 TDs, 5 INTs Georgia QB Courtney Williamson - 18-24, 272 yards, 3 TDs, 3 INTs Georgia DE John Patterson - 3 sacks Georgia MLB AJ Cade - 4 tackles, 1 sack, 1 INT
Auburn, the team with no offense, defeats Michigan State on the road 10-6. Not one offensive touchdown was scored in this game. Auburns TD came on an early pick six. The Tigers and Spartans combined for 12 turnovers in this game, 6 each. Auburn threw 6 picks while MSU threw 4 picks and fumbled twice. The Auburn QB situation is a mess. Things were so bad that the red shirt was pulled off of 3rd string QB Tolbert just to see if that helped. It didnt. The only bright side this season has been the play of the defensive line who once again racked up the sacks (I only user controlled the DE on obvious third down passing situations). Auburn goes to 3-1 but have alot of questions to answer. A bye week next should help before they head home to play ECU.
Ya, good game. It was really the first quarter that I wish I could do over. I didn't really go out of my way to stop Marshall, I just think your other receivers just played well. It's unfortunate I can't have a rematch this year. I truly feel I could have given you a better game. The only possibility would be for both of us to make into the National Championship, but we all know you'd lose to whygodwhy1111 in the CCG.
Georgia 41 FSU 20 The Georgia defensive line controlled this game, specifically sophomore John Patterson, who had 5.5 sacks on the day and ultimately forced the Seminole coaches to devote 2-3 blockers on him to keep him from the backfield. On offense, the team again used Keith Marshall as a decoy and allowed true freshman QB Courtney Williamson to throw the ball on early downs, as he had 350 yards on 14-17 passing with 4 TD's against only 1 INT. The highlight of the day (on the wire) was a 91 yard TD to WR Chris Conley for a TD that would ultimately be the game deciding score. Good game Kapono.
Arkansas 45 Alabama 14 My name is Arkansas, and I like to party The razorbacks jump all over alabama early with 4 first half TD runs by Kody Walker. Alabama kept the turnovers down but drive killing sacks and an ineffective defense prevented them form staying in the game. GG gowazzucougs, sorry you recieved the brunt of my Miami loss frustration. But don't worry Cheez I got some for you tonight aswell.
Injuries were rampant for the Tigers in this game. QB Clark only lasted two plays before breaking his forearm on a sack (out 5 weeks). Good thing Rivers is a senior, and stepped right in and didnt miss a beat. He wasnt able to escape the pocket as quickly, but he had tons of time most of the game. He went 14-16 (with the 2 incompletions being drops) and threw for 4 TD's from 45, 19, 47, and 18 yards out. Other injuries included WR/KR Wilson with a concussion and backup QB Randall had to miss the game, but both should be back next week. Rivers will now have to carry this team in the absence of Clark, but he showed he should do just fine. #20 LSU 45 - Arizona St 7
Good game, the pressure affected how I played with my QB. Eventually all I was doing was watching your DE. I am pretty sure I dropped too far back once because I was more scared for my QB's life. As for your offense it was a finely tuned machine.
Canes Hold on defeat Alabama 31-28 The game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Miami Hurricanes appeared headed towards a blowout after the Canes scored a quick 14 points and were again knocking on the Tide end zone. Yet, an interception of Miami QB Christian Smith, followed by a long touchdown drive by Alabama, turned what could have been a 21-0 game into a 14-7 contest that would remain tight for the rest of the game. As the Tide gained momentum, the Hurricane offense began to sputter and would not score again for the remainder of the half. Though the Tide were able to move the ball against the Cane defense, they would also be unable to find the end zone again as they would trail 14-7 going into half. Alabama continued to move the ball through the air in the second half and tie the game at 14 on a short TD pass from QB Alec Morris to WR Chris Black. With their lead now evaporated, the Miami offense responded with a score of their own, but would settle for a 38 yard FG and a 17-14 lead. Nevertheless, The Tide carried their offensive momentum and took the lead for the first time in the game on a 62 yard TD pass from Morris to WR Cheeseman Darqueri. Despite trailing, the Canes did not panic and behind four straight completions, took the lead on a 51 yard TD reception by HB Randy Johnson. Johnson's TD took the Canes into the fourth quarter holding a precarious 24-21 lead. Yet, the majority fourth quarter saw both teams struggle to get much going offensively and the score remained until just under three minutes left when Johnson again found the end zone, this time on a 37 yard TD run. Now holding a 10 point lead, the Canes appeared in control, but Alabama quickly responded with WR Zach Deuel scoring on a 23 yard reception. Though Alabama failed to convert on the onside kick, Miami turned the ball over as it attempted to catch the Tide defense overplaying the run. The turnover left the Tide with a chance to win the game, but after a couple completions, they would turn the ball over themselves to end the game. gowazzucougs, it was a pleasure again. I think it always comes down to turnovers. You passed all over my defense, but the interceptions kept points off the scoreboard. I'm not used to dealing with 14 point leads, so I think I got too cute and let my guard down in the beginning. Then, I got too cute late and almost paid for it again. Miami Alabama QB Christian Smith - 16/22, 309 yards, 2 TD, 3 INT QB Alec Morris - 19/31, 405 yards, 4 TD, 5 INT HB Randy Johnson - 10 car, 129 yards, 2 TD, long 72; 2 rec, 61 yards, TD, long 51 WR Cheeseman Darqueri - 4 rec, 128 yards, TD, long 62 WR Lamar Christensen - 7 rec, 105 yards, long 55 WR Chris Black - 7 rec, 103 yards, 2 TD, long 34 TE Brandon Fulse - 2 rec, 27 yards, TD, long 22 WR Zach Deuel - 4 rec, 84 yards, TD, long 28 3rd Down - 4/8 3rd Down - 6/8 Turnovers - 3 Turnovers 5
2 CPU Blowouts for FSU #9 FSU 45 S. Carolina 7 #9 FSU 45 #4 Oregon 0 Neither of these games were close as FSU had scored 45 points in both without scoring in the 4th quarter. FSU is still using QB's Jacob Coker and Matt Ryan and it appears Coker won the job with a better performance vs. Oregon. There's not much to say in these except I think we could adjust sliders or go to Heisman as both games were an A- FSU team vs. a B+ team. FSU now gets to play Alabama and Miami in what should be tight games. vs. SC Jacob Coker (QB)- 9-17 for 127 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT Matt Ryan (QB)- 2-2 for 95 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 4 carries for 30 yards Mario Pender (HB)- 16 carries for 200 yards, TD Christian Brown (WR)- 6 receptions for 150 yards, 3 TD Kelvin Benjamin (WR)- 2 receptions for 37 yards, TD vs. Oregon Jacob Coker (QB)- 11-17 for 208 yards, 3 TD, INT, 7 carries for 48 yards Matt Ryan (QB)- 4-7 for 78 yards, TD, INT Mario Pender (HB)- 14 carries for 85 yards, TD Christian Brown (WR)- 4 receptions for 57 yards, TD Kelvin Benjamin (WR)- 6 receptions for 121 yards, 2 TD
Canes Finally Chomp Gators defeat Florida 24-17 (composite score) After three years of last minute defeats against the rival Gators, the Miami Hurricanes finally defeated Florida 24-17 in Gainesville. It wasn't without the usual last minute tension as the Gators, down seven, threw a Hail Mary pass into the end zone that was contested but finally found its way to the floor. The game started well enough for the Canes, as WR Lamar Christensen took a screen pass the length of the field for a touchdown on the first play of the game. The Gators would rally and tie the game at seven on a long pass from QB Xavier Johnson later in the quarter. The second quarter saw the Canes extend their lead to 17-10 before a thunderstorm interrupted the action. Once it was deemed safe, play resumed in the third quarter and Florida tied the game behind all-time leading receiver TE Kent Taylor's 2 yard TD reception. Nevertheless, the Canes were determined and steadily drove down the field, with the drive culminating in a 5 yard TD pass from QB Christian Smith to WR Eddie Walker in the first play of the fourth quarter. Florida and Miami would trade possessions from there, but neither team would be able to break through. Miami would eventually drive into Florida territory late in the game, and not wanting to turn the ball over, conservatively took a couple knees before attempting a FG to put the game out of reach. Unfortunately, for the Canes, the miss by the kicker allowed Florida to make its final attempt. @satansangel1111, good game. I finally beat you, though I still had a scare there at the end. The drops by both your offense and defense was probably the difference in the game. There were two/three instances were I saw a pick six coming and instead your guys dropped the ball. Note: Stats have been skewed due to thunderstorm corrupting all data.
ECU - 14 Auburn - 47 The #9 ranked Paper Tigers win another despite sucking. Its only a matter of time before we free fall down the polls. This one was close at halftime as my QB threw 5 first half interceptions! But ECU was more than up to challenge in this turnover fun fest. The Pirates turned the ball over 10 times! Thats right, 10 times. So as bad as we sucked, throwing 5 picks and losing 2 fumbles, ECU was worse. Both ECU TD's came off of Ints. The Pirates managed 92 total yards while Auburn racked up 516. The real season starts next week as Arkansas comes to town. The folks on the plains are already invoking the voodoo against whygodwhy1111 and company! Auburn Stats QB Zeke Pike 15/26 218 Yards, 0 TD, 5 INT's QB Rasheed Hale 3/4 116 Yards, 1 TD, 0 INT HB Chad Sims 17 Carries, 66 Yards, 2 TD's HB Marshall Fields 11 Carries, 79 Yards WR Jed Clement 5 Catches, 121 Yards, 1 TD WR Ja'Quay Williams 5 Catches, 97 Yards CB Brent Haynes, CB Matt Richardson, SS Daniel Pond - All had 2 INT's a piece
I don't understand. My O and D-lines get absolutely obliterated against whygodwhy1111 EVERY TIME! I can't do anything against him.
Arkansas 31 Tennessee 24 Kody Walker carries Arkansas to victory Arkansas offense runs over the Tennessee defense behind Kody Walker and Michael Robbins. Tennessee offense kept the game close and tied it up with 4 minutes remaining, but Arkansas came back with a 3 and a half minute TD drive to go up 7. Arkansas: Kody Walker 14 carries 194 yards 4 TD Robbins 14 carries 95 yards, 9-13 120 yards 1 INT Tennessee: Devrin Young 15 carries 147 yards TD gg cheez
Arkansas 40 Texas A&M 17 It's Kody Walker's World, We're just Living in it Another huge day for Kody Walker. Walker carried 23 times for 223 yards and 4 TDs as Arkansas Stifles the Aggies at kyle field. Its clear teams are keyed into Michael Robbins and the big lumbering Kody Walker is reaping all the benefits. Walker some how turns his pedestrian speed into long TD runs and consistently uses his 6-2 237 lbs frame to power his way through weak arm tackles. gg Jayrah
Alabama 33 Ole Miss 23 Let's have a moment of silence for Alabama's season. Alec Morris was seriously injured during the game against Ole Miss. Before the injury Morris had thrown for 239 yards and 2 TDs. Now the season rests on Denard Robinson Jr., Alan White. White is not the most accurate QB, but was able to lead the Tide to a nice victory over the Rebels. The two main targets the QBs threw to this was Zachary Deuel and Cheeseman Dariqui who combined for over 11 receptions and 250 yards. Deuel scored a touchdown on a 98 yard TD pass in the second quarter.
GG. It wasn't even Walker that had me frustrated. Your lines are mashers and I couldn't get off any blocks to even attempt weak arm tackles. Then when I finally tackled the kid in the backfield, he didn't have the ball, Robbins was running away with it. I'm not sure my 3-4 defense can stop you if that's the offense you'll employ from now on.
Georgia 24 Tennessee 7 A game that was closer than the final score indicated. Tennessee had success running the ball during the game (running for 130 yards on 17 attempts), but the success hurt them when Georgia ran run blitzes on early downs and the coverage blanketed the Tennessee WR/TE's on several occassions when Cheez ran early down play action. On the day, the two Vol QB's completed on 4 of 15 passes for 39 yards, 1 TD (on a HB screen) and 2 INTs. For Georgia, true freshman QB Courtney Williamson played well, completing 11-16 passes for 164 yards with 2 TD and an INT. Keith Marshall had a solid game with 106 yards on 19 carries. Good game Cheez.
#7 FSU 31 Alabama 7 Jacob Coker threw an interception on FSU's first drive but the defense was able to get the ball back to the offense, allowing Coker to hit WR Christian Brown on a 3-yard out for a TD. Bama drove the field and scored within 2 minutes, but after that FSU's defense would keep them out of the endzone. FSU scored on the last play of the 1st on a play action pass to the FB Cole Rodgers to take a 14-7 lead. A 31-yard TD run up the middle by Mario Pender with just 12 seconds left in the half gave FSU a 24-7 halftime lead. FSU scored late in the 3rd as FB Cole Rodgers scored again, running the ball this time, on his way to a rare player of the game honor for him. MLB Jason Fields, who was an All-American last year as a true sophomore, had 2 interceptions in this game, bringing his total to 5 in 7 games. FSU Jacob Coker (QB)- 14-20 for 152 yards, 2 TD, INT, 9 carries for 29 yards Mario Pender (HB)- 17 carries for 124 yards, TD, 3 receptions for 42 yards Cole Rodgers (FB)- 3 carries for 32 yards, TD, 3-yard TD reception Chris Kourtzitis (TE)- 4 receptions for 56 yards Bama A. White (QB)- 10-19 for 177 yards, TD, 4 INT D. Hart (HB)- 11 carries for 21 yards Z. Deuel (WR)- 2 receptions for 57 yards, TD
#7 FSU 31 #5 Miami 24 FSU opened the game with the ball and drove down the field to take a 7-0 lead off a 9-yard pistol read option keeper from Jacob Coker. Like the Alabama game, UM scored on their next possession to tie, this time on a 3rd down conversion from their own 31 as lamar Christensen had a catch in traffic, broke a tackle, and raced down the sideline. The teams swapped FG's until FSU scored on a 4th and 1 from the 3 yard line with 28 seconds left on a Mario Pender run up the middle, FSU led 17-10. Miami tied the game early in the 3rd as Christensen caught another long TD pass. FSU stalled on their next drive as they punted on a 4th and very, very long giving Miami a short field and a go-ahead TD, 24-17 UM. Late in the 3rd, Coker found his big WR Kelvin Banjamin and just barely squeezed the ball between the defenders, tying it a 24. Neither team scored until Pender took a power O handoff from the 50, and once he got by the blitzing defenders, he was gone with 2:55 left. Miami threw a pick on their next drive, but were able to use their timeouts to get the ball back. But that wasn't enough as FSU escaped Dolphin Stadium with a 31-24 comeback win. MLB Jason Fields had his 6th interception in 8 games on the season. FSU Jacob Coker (QB)- 12-12 for 250 yards, TD, INT (that makes sense EA), rush TD Mario Pender (HB)- 15 carries for 96 yards, 2 TD, 1 reception for 16 yards Kelvin Benjamin (WR)- 5 receptions for 158 yards, TD Miami C. Smith (QB)- 12-19 for 200 yards, TD, 3 INT P. Dewey (QB)- 3-4 for 91 yards, TD, INT R. Johnson (HB)- 8 carries for 56 yards, TD L. Christensen (WR)- 7 receptions for 203 yards, 2 TD
Game recaps when I play 7 straight CPU games are boring...... Mizzou - a lot CPU - not very much DGB had lots of catches and yards and the defense looked great. in 6 games the defense has given up just 2 TDs.... the other TDs scored against the team were on interceptions. One of those 2 TDs allowed was vs the backups. I'm curious to see how our defense holds up in a user game. DGB looks like he has an outside chance at the NCAA career receiving yardage record this season (assuming that UF tight end doesnt snag it)
