NFC Gets First SuperBowl as Rams Beat Browns 31 - 24

    Tampa Bay, Florida
It was a beautiful day in Tampa as the Browns and Rams would lock horns to crown a new Super Bowl champion in Hard Knocks. Both teams were making their first appearance in this game and the butterflies were apparent early. The Browns would end up punting the ball on their first possession, but they would get the ball right back as rookie WR Mintlow would cough it up after making a catch for a 1st down. The Browns would take advantage of this field position, as Romo would use the PA pass to hit his favorite target TE Hoppes down the middle for the 7-0 lead.
That would be all the scoring in the 1st quarter as the Browns took the 7-0 lead. The Rams would answer back with a Mintlow 2 yard TD pass on 3rd and goal in the 2nd quarter, before both defense came up with big plays one after the other. First, Pat Chung was able to step infront of a Romo pass to Hoppes as he would get a key INT for the team as the Browns were driving
The Rams defense would quickly be back on the field however, as the 2nd play into the Rams ensuing drive it was Vincent Jackson's turn to put the ball on the turf, and after scooping up the initial fumble the Rams were able to force a fumble of their own, but that was recovered by the Browns defense, as Bradford had to step in to make a touchdown saving tackle with no one behind him.
The Browns would add a FG on that drive as they took the lead into halftime; 10-7.
The Rams started with the ball in the 2nd half, and were able to use the run game to greater affect, ending with a 15 yard TD run for Sterlin Freeman to give the Rams their first lead of the day, 14-10. After the Rams defense forced the Browns to punt, Bradford would throw an INT setting up the Browns with decent field position. The Rams defense would again come up with a key play as DT Powe shed his blocker and hit DeAngelo with a thunderous blow, causing him to fumble which was scooped up by Angerer.
The Rams would stretch their lead early in the 4th quarter as Freeman would again take it in from 16 yards out to make the score 21-10. Josh Brown would extend that lead even further with a 50 yard FG with 3:20 left in the game, and when James Laurinaitis was able to pick off a pass intended for Hoppes on the Browns very 1st play of their next possession for a pick 6, the Rams thought that this game was as good as done with the 31-10 lead with a little over 3 minutes left.
The Browns to their credit did not quit, and were right back in with a shot as Romo was able to hit Desean Jackson DEEP on their 1st play on an 80 yard bomb, and after recovering the onside kick were able to march down the field and score another TD as DeAngelo Williams took it in from 2 yards out. With 1:43 left in the game the Browns were only down a TD, but were unable to recover the onside kick for the second time. Needing a 1st down to end the game the Rams were able to run out the clock and were eventually crowned as HK Champions for Season 4!!
