TEXAS STATE KEEPS ROLLING DOWNS ARMY 62-13

Army's offensive line could not do anything to stop the Bobcat's swarming D. After going up 13-7, Army couldn't muster much else as the Bobcat D tormented the Army QB and sacked him 9 times. Texas State got it into gear and Webster threw for over 300 and 3 TDs and ran for 150 yards and 2 more TDs.

The Golden Panthers Travel to UAB, Coach Rowe knew his team was walking in to a dog fight against a top 10 defense in UAB. Coach Rowe stated this “On paper UAB is very solid team; their stats tend to jump out at you. We know they are hungry for upset.”

The Golden Panthers continue to depend on their top 5 defense to help cruise to a 24-0 shutout of The blazers of UAB. The Defense provided many fits for the home team. Pick off UAB QB not once, not twice but three times.

    Player of the Game”
    M. Anderson DE had 4 Tackles 4 TL 3 sacks and 1 FF to help add to his resume on campaign trial for a few post season awards.

    Utes Top Beavers 49-17

Corvallis, OR- Utah kept on rolling this week as they knocked off the Oregon State Beavers in Corvallis 49-17. The Utes have been fighting the last few weeks to move up the Top 25, and also make it to the top of the Pac 12 south. They made one of those dreams a reality with their big win Saturday.

The Utah offense has been keeping the ball on the ground all season long, and Saturday was no different as they piled up 407 yards on the ground en route to a 566 yard day. The defense regressed this week however and let OSU roll up 375 yards of offense, including 287 throuogh the air.

Troy McCormick was the star again on Saturday with 19 carries for 190 yards and 3 TD's, but WR Delshawn McClellon almost topped the 100 yard mark with one carry, a 98 yard score on an option pitch. Big WR Harrison Handley has begun showing the skills Utah coaches knew he had when the season started and grabbed 6 passes for 89 yards and 2 scores. Brandon Cox had one of his best games as the Utah QB going 15/18 for 159 yards and 2 TD's.

The biggest news for Utah fans is that when USC upset UCLA later Saturday night the Bruins fell behind the Utes in the Pac 12 south standings. UCLA's final game of the season was against USC, and if Utah is able to knock off the Colorado Buffaloes in Boulder next week they will host the Pac 12 North winner for the conference title game.
