Seminoles take care of business 55-12
    [IMG]
This week the Seminoles of Florida State traveled took there talents to south beach but not to play the Hurricanes but to take on the Florida International Golden Panthers. Florida State won the toss and elected to kick and on the Panthers first play quarterback Jake Medlock hooked up with Willis Wright for a 65 yard catch that was followed by a 13 yard touchdown pass to Wright to put FIU up 6-0 after there kicker missed the extra point. The Florida State offense was asleep in the first quarter as they were held scoreless and trailed after the first quarter 6-0. Early in the 2nd quarter FIU struck again as they scored on a 21 yard pass to Rocky Vann and after another missed extra point found themselves up 12-0 with 6:25 left in the first half. On the Seminoles next drive they got points but it came at a price as on 3rd down Clint Trickett was hit as he threw and after Mike Sykes kicked a 24 yard field goal the coaching staff got the news that Trickett would be out for 11 weeks with a strained back. After an FIU punt the FSU offense came on the field led by redshirt senior Will Secord and he led a great drive that ended with a Larry Waters 2 yard touchdown run to pull the Noles within two with only 1:25 left in the half. FIU went 3 and out on there next drive and set the Seminoles up with great field position and a little time to work with before the half and Secord took over and marched the Noles down the field and scored with :03 left in the half on a 11 yard pass to Greg Dent to give the Seminoles the lead at the half 17-12. After a shaky first half the Seminoles dominated the 2nd half keeping the Panthers out of the endzone and scoring 38 points of there own to give the Seminoles a 55-12 victory. The Seminoles will travel to Boston College in there first ACC conference game of the season.

    #20 Georgia Tech 27 - North Carolina 9

The Yellow Jacket Defense was dominant forcing 3 Tar Heel turnovers and limiting the Heels to 50 yards rushing as a team.

The GT offense wasn't spectacular. Sims threw for 147 1 td and 1 int and the running game had a tough time getting going.

A wins a win though, and next week we play Virginia Tech.
