The UTEP Miners 3-2 (2-0) were able to extend their win streak to 3 as they barely escaped from El Paso with a victory over a winless Nevada team. The Miners will need to continue to improve and play more consistent football as they nearly let this one get away but was able to force some much needed turnovers late in the game.

*** Key injury: All C-USA Soph RB Johnny Means and UTEP workhorse left early in the game with an injury. His return is still up for debate and team doctors will evaluate him during the week. Frosh RB Chase Hodges and Soph RB Tony White will split carries until Means return***

    Florida 10 Ole Miss 3
    [IMG]
Really nothing much to say about this game other than almost every throw by my QB in this one seemed to miss a wide open target by at least 10 yards. Most frustrating offensive performance I have seen ever in this game. Defense bails this team out, giving up only 3 points off a fumble by a Florida receiver that had Ole Miss start at the Florida 30 yard line. If this play continues into next game there WILL be a QB controversy. Also, apparently my kicker can't make a FG longer than 35 yards which is awesome!
    Game Stats:
*Ole Miss held to 63 yards of total offense (104 passing, -41 rushing).
*Florida record 5 sacks, 1 interception, and 2 ff this game (both fumbles were not recovered).
*Korvic Neat, who coming into this game had 347 yards on 60 carries, carried the ball 17 times for -4 yards today as the defense was swarming against the run tonight.
The Florida Gators head on the road next as they face a strong LSU team. Hopefully the offense decides to show up for that one as the defense cannot continually win games for this team.

Auto-generated, and I though the same thing, I had to roll with it. It was a good game, my D just won the turnover battle at the right times.

No, I got shellacked. I was having some intermittent issues with lag and couldn't call a fair catch (fumble) or hit WR's out of their breaks (INT), or run the hurry-up offense. But UCLA manhandled me, especially their defensive line. I got worked over. It wasn't ever a close game.

Good luck the rest of way, Boiler.

Ya I know how you feel. I seem to get that a lot with my users vs user games, really hurts me in the running game, making cuts and what not, and tackling.

    Marshall @ MTSU
This one was a hard hitting affair straight from the start. For most of the game Marshall used a strong mix of passing and running to produce long time consuming drives when they did score. Even though there were a lot of points scored, there was a lot of defense as well. MTSU could have won this game big if they had the talent at WR, with most of the passes getting there but being dropped. With 5:05 left in the game MTSU would go up 27-26 after missing the 2 point conversion. Marshall would drive down to the 20 only to miss a potential game winning field goal. MTSU started to work the clock as soon as they got it with 3:40 left in the game. After 2 runs for 2 yards on 3rd and 8 they would throw an incomplete pass and punt the ball away. After a muffed punt but recovering it Marshall would take the ball at their own 48 with just over 2 minutes left in the game. Their starting HB would go down with an injury, a huge piece of their offense gone in a critical moment in the game. They would be forced to 4th and 1 and would drop a wide open pass only to watch MTSU run the ball 3 straight times and burn out of all their timeouts. Marshall would be given one more chance with 56 seconds left at their own 29. After 3 straight incomplete passes they would come up huge and take the ball across midfield and spike the ball with 33 seconds left. On 4th and 2 they would miss another field goal, game over MTSU wins.
    Final Score
Middle Tennessee State 27 Marshall 26
Overall this team is just getting lucky. Their competition is keeping them in games they have no business being in. After a 1-2 start we have managed to win 3 straight and improve to 4-2 on the season, hoping to continue this success to the end of the season.
