Smith, Davis Put Up Heisman Numbers In Win Over Akron
Athens,OH - Ohio took on Akron this past Saturday in a match that played out as we thought it would. Ohio had talks of a QB change but coach Brown must have gotten through to freshman QB Mike Smith, as Smith went 20/25 for 276 yards and 4 TD's through the air. Heisman hopeful sophomore RB Jermaine Davis lived up to the hype racking up 179 yards on 25 carries with 3 TD's to add.
Ohio is unbeaten at home improving to 4-1 on the year and 2-0 in MAC play. Ohio will welcome UMass next Saturday as they look to win big yet again.

    42-14 UCF Win
Despite mediocre play from their freshman QB, UCF was able to move the ball effectively enough to put up 42 points on the North Texas Mean Green defense. This was mostly due to the short fields created by their defense that won the game by winning the turnover battle. North Texas started on offense with a beautiful patient scoring drive with multiple 3rd down conversions and they were able to have UCF on their heels going into the second quarter, stopping UCF and getting the ball back with a chance to take the lead. Unfortunately for the Mean Green, things changed quickly with an interception on a shot at the endzone. From then on, the UCF offense found their stride. They loosed up the NT secondary by throwing some downfield routes and started getting first downs off big plays. After another NT INT and a two minute drive that got the ball into the endone with only seconds left in the half, UCF looked to pull it out with a 28-7 lead. The third quarter stared off with another NT interception and that pretty much sealed the deal.

POG: CB Shaquill Griffin, the INT in the first quarter turned the whole game around. Honorable mention to the offensive line, with 182 yds on 28 carries and 5 TDs on the ground.

GG qclassic 22 your team is kinda stacked considering where you started, you gotta be killing the recruiting trail. If it weren't for the first pick things woulda been completely different I think

    Utah Wins Arizona State Championship
Utah Blows Out Sun Devils 59-14

Tempe, AZ- Two weeks in a row Utah has blown out an Arizona school, and two weeks in a row the defense has stepped up and shown they can be dominant. This week Hunter Dimick embarassed the entire ASU offensive line racking up 4 sacks. And the rest of the defense helped him out by holding ASU to 217 yards of total offense.

Utah started slowly, and the defense let ASU score on both of their first 2 posessions. The Sun Devil offense tallied 146 yards on those first 2 drives, but only 71 in the final 3 and a half quarters. FB Terrell Davis scored from 1 yard out for ASU's first TD. Davis' TD was ASU's second 4th down conversion on the drive. ASU's next drive ended with Eugene Palmer finding WR Cameron Smith for an 8 yard TD and a 14-7 lead. That was the last drive ASU would move the ball past midfield.

Utah's first score was an 8 yard toss from Brandon Cox to Harrison Handley to knot up the score at 7. ASU scored on their next drive, but Justin Thomas is showing he is possibly the most dangerous return man in college football by returning another kickoff for a TD. His 4th of the year. After Thomas' kick return Utah did the rest of the scoring.

Troy McCormick scored twice, once from 4 yards out and another from 7 yards out. Brandon Cox ran in for one TD, and tossed three more. It was easily Cox's finest game of the season. He finished 22/26 for 238 yards 3 TD's and 1 interception, and added 172 yards on only 12 carries.

Justin Thomas is having an incredible season returning kickoffs. Going into Saturday's game he was averaging an incredible 37 yards per kick return, and after his 88 yard score Saturday and 2 other big returns he looks to puch that average over 40.
