For having such a great season, the recruits don't seem to be noticing it. Man I can't catch a break in recruiting, one commit through 8 weeks.

Mississippi State Rallies to Defeat Auburn 34-27

The Mississippi State Bulldogs continue to exceed expectations, taking down #15 Auburn in exciting fashion. For the first time all season, the Bulldogs struggled to put up points during the first half. Turnovers and drops resulted in Auburn scoring the first two TD's as the stunned MSU faithfuls looked on. The Bulldogs would head into halftime down 7-19. Thoroughly outplayed on both sides of the ball, major adjustments had to be made. "Coach was upset at us because he knew that we were being sloppy," said QB Stegall. "However, he never lost faith in us and told us to prepare for an exciting comeback." Whether coach nrg_qbz is a psychic or not is still up for debate, but MSU sure came out of halftime with a different demeanor.

The Bulldogs scored 28 unanswered points before the Tigers scored a TD with 1 minute left in the game. The long time available to sit in the pocket was no more for the Auburn Tiger's QB. The easy receptions were replaced with swatting hands. The missed tackles were now bone-jarring hits. "We came out with a mission," said coach nrg_qbz. "We were embarassed for the first 30 minutes and I wasn't going to allow us to be embarassed for the last 30." With star QB Tyler Russell preparing to make his comeback after being out for 5 weeks, there is definitely excitement in the air. "I am just glad that I could hold down the fort until he returns," said Stegal.

    Miners survive late scare
UTEP jumped to a 21 to 6 lead at half and were cruising toward an easy win but Marshall wouldn't go away. In the last 3 minutes of the game the Herd was able to put up 13 points but it wouldn't be enough as UTEP was able to extend their win streak to 5, the longest in Coach Chaotic's 4 year history.
