#4 Florida St. 33 #1 Alabama 22 FSU was able to take advantage of 3 first half Alabama turnovers to take a 27-14 lead at half. Our last field goal came after Bama's QB was sacked and fumbled and our DE was able to fall down with 1 second left. Neither offense was able to put up 300 yards as both teams were trying to ground and pound. Alabama turned the ball over 2 more times in the second half and FSU was very conservative, running the ball and punting a few times. Alabama did narrow the lead to 30-22 after a TD and successful conversion, but FSU took 3:30 off the clock on their way to a 45-yard FG to go up 11. Good game recchem2000 FSU QB Eric Everett - 13-17 for 123 yards, TD, rush TD HB Michael Vaughn - 10 carries for 70 yards, TD HB Will Pugh - 6 carries for 30 yards, receiving TD WR Craig Jacobs - 3 receptions for 73 yards Bama QB S Hadley - 13-25 for 194 yards, 2 TD, 3 INT HB J McDonald - 7 carries for 40 yards, TD WR A Holley - 3 receptions for 29 yards, TD
GG Kapono Can't win many games losing the turnover battle 5-0! The QB fumbles on sacks deep in my territory really hurt. I don't play very well in catch up mode!

#5 Georgia 34 #2 Florida State 20 2nd ranked FLA State went into Athens to face the #5 ranked Bulldogs and the Dawgs came away with a 34-20 win. Fla State received the ball in the first half and immediately drove down field into the Dawgs red zone. Then Eric Everett tried to forced a pass across the right sideline. It was picked off by back up OLB Micah Jackson. On the very next play, Heisman winner Devin Martin ran the 47 power to perfection as he cut in and across the middle he went for a 81 yard run to give the Dawgs a 7-0 lead. Less then a minute later FSU ties the game as Everett hit Craig Jacobs and a nicely place pass from 67 yards out. With a little bit more than a minute left in the first GA would take the lead as JJ Lynch would hit Curtis Martin Jr. in stride from 58 yards as the Dawgs took the lead in a wild 1st QTR 14-7. Both teams added a FG in the 2nd QTR as GA took a 17-10 lead into the locker room at HT. GA would score in the 3rd QTR as Lynch hit Vernon Davis from 16 yards out to stretch the lead to 24-10 and that's how the 3rd period would end. FSU went into their hurry up offense and scored a TD less then a minute later as Everett rumbles from 4 yards out to make it a 27-17 ball game. FSU would tighten up and force a GA punt. Then the play of the game coming up. Everett's first pass on this drive was picked off by Matt Mitchel and he ran 38 yards for the TD to give GA a 34-17 lead. FSU would add a FG. Yeah, good game. I thought I had it when I intercepted you with two minutes left, only to throw an INT myself. That INT, I didn't even see the linebacker there.
Rivalry game......The Dawgs stun the top ranked Clemson Tigers #7 Georgia 28 #1 Clemson 3 #1 Clemson rolled into Athens with a 11-0 record and a Solid 4 point favorite over the Georgia Bulldogs in the ESPN Saturday game of the week. 1 more win would have clinched a spot for the Tigers in the BCS National Championship game. The Athens Star was very critical of coach GMONEYS decision to go for 2 in the 1 point loss to Alabama in week 13 and as well as getting off to a rough start n their last 2 ball games. The Dawgs were fired up from the beginning of the game. Clemson received the ball first and the defense forced a punt. Georgia drove down the field and scored when JJ Lynch ( Who may be playing his last home game ) connected with Tyson Chavez from 18 yards out to give the Dawgs a 7-0 lead as the crowd was going wild. Clemson got the ball again and this time the much maligned defense stepped up as SR MLB Mike Singletary Jr picked off Chase and set up the Dawgs inside the Clemson red zone. 3 plays later JJ Lynch called his own number and scored from 3 yards out to give GA a 14-0 first QTR lead. In the 2nd QTR, Clemson was driving down field and once again the defense stepped up as Chase was picked off again, this time by SR CB Matt Mitchell. 6 plays later GA goes up 21-0 as Lynch hits Omarr Williamson from 22 yards out. Clemson would march down field and score as Isaac Moore kicks a 48 yard FG as GA goes into the locker room with w 21-3 HT lead. The 3rd QTR GA receives the ball but Clemson's D forces a 3 and out. Not to be out done, the GA defense forces a Clemson punt. Then Lynch found speedster Andre Smith and he breaks a tackle and outraces the Clemson secondary and scores from 77 yards out to give the Dawgs a 28-3 lead and that is how the game ended. gg MexiRican35 turnovers were the key to this game bro. HMMMMMMMMMM...It will be interesting to see the next couple of BCS polls being released. Since we don't have a conference championship game, the Gators look to have the inside track to pay for the BCS Title and I am sure they will take over #1. But NEVER trust those dam Voters.
