    Pitt 7
    Miami 52

Miami was looking to bounce back after its opening week loss to UCLA, unfortunately for Pitt , Miami did just that. They man handled Pittsburgh all day on both sides of the ball and finished with a 52-7 victory. The defense scored 14 points itself out scoring the Pitt offense. Tracy Howard led the way with two INTs and 1 taken back. New MLB Jeff Washington returned one as well. Miami would finish the day with 5 Interceptions and 1 FF really decimating the Panthers. Offensively Preston Dewey played okay, with 3 TDs and 1 INT, but some are still calling for QB Barry Young to get a shot. The Canes running game was damn near unstoppable as Ken Woodward and Duke Johnson ran for 128 yards and 136 yards respectively and both had 1 TD a piece. While the Panthers were held to -7 yards on the ground.

A big win for The Canes against former Big East Foe Pitt. Now they move on to host #14 Clemson in a big match up. These teams havent met in a few years and both are looking to jump up into the top 10 and get a nice win to add to the resume and keep them in the race for the ACC.
