Oregon State Saws Off tu!
FINAL SCORE: 20 13
Huskies start strong, fizzle late The 1-2 Washington Huskies traveled to Los Angeles to play the UCLA Bruins, undefeated on the season, without their head coach in Week 4. Though they didn't look 1-2 to start the game. On the first possession of the game, the Bruins on offense, HB Jacob Riley would cough it up, giving the ball to the Huskies in Bruins territory. They would convert the drive into points, as Jeff Lindquist would connect with TE J.R. Richardson from 2 yards out for the first score of the game; 7-0 Washington. The Bruins offense wasn't clicking any better to continue the first quarter, Washington scoring again, this time a field goal, to take their lead to 10 points. Then, with 4:34 left in the second quarter, T.J. Millweard would connect with WR Mark Hudson for a 36 yard touchdown pass, Millweard's first of four touchdown passes on the day. In the last minute, after stopping a promising Washington Huskies drive, the Bruins would get into the redzone, capping off the drive with a Jacob Riley reception for a touchdown, 14-10 Bruins at the half. Once the third quarter was over, UCLA stood ahead at 21-10, seemingly nothing working for the Huskies offense. But in the early minutes of the fourth, a TD reception from FB Leon Bowling would bring them within 5 points, the 2-point conversion was successful, and Washington brought it within 3 points. But Millweard would step up, and on the ensuing possession would throw a touchdown pass to WR Richard Townsend to give them a 10-point lead, a lead that wouldn't be threatened the remainder of the game. Sorry for the short write up, got to go to work. JFace907 Wish we could've played, you've done a helluva job recruiting, that team is frustrating to play.
