Badgers roll over West Virginia at home 61-24

Though the defense gave up a high of 24 today, they were flying all over the field on their way to another 6 interceptions including 3 by SS Skylar Glover, one he took back to score. CB Adam Evans pulled in 2 and Neil Bridges got the other. FS Scotty Brown had his hands on multiple balls but wasnt able to catch any. in fact, he even dropped one of the 2 punts he fielded today. The Dline dominated again with 6 sacks including 2.5 from Frisher. FS Michael Picciuto also came in on the blitz for one sack.

Kenzel Doe was awarded player of the game as he went 98 yards to the house on one KR and another went 82 but was caught before scoring. He also broke off a 61 yard carry for a TD on 99 yards of offense. Gordon ran the ball well on 24 carries for 167 yards and 2 scores. mayo got the start today in a more wide open offense but the pass rush was too much for him and he didnt have a good game. He was able to throw for 200+ yards with a lot of help from Jon Buckley who went for 124 including a 62 yard TD.

The Badgers are ready for Big 10 play

PSU RBs Run To Victory Against Hoosiers

    #3 Penn State 45
    Indiana 21

Following the tough game against Nebraska, Penn State probably would have some bumps and bruises. They did and struggled to do ANYTHING other than pound the running backs Johnson and Moore. They had to do most of it on their own because the line wasn't able to get much going in the game. McIntosh was horrid and played the worst game as a starter going 5-20 for 38 yards and 2INTs. He was sacked twice and had -10 yards rushing. After giving up a touchdown on their Indiana's first drive, the defense tightened up. It wasn't until the 2nd teamers went in the 4th that Indiana scored again. Coach BP even put the starters back in following what became the final touchdown for Indiana - the defense swatted down an Indiana pass on 4th down.

    Derrick Johnson - 221 yards, 3 TDs
    Ryan Moore - 93 yards, 3 TDs

The Cavaliers beat up on rival Florida State 43-22. The Cavaliers had a hard time putting points on the board on offense as we had to kick 3+ field goals when they could have been touchdowns. The Cavalier defense forced 3 turnovers, 2 fumbles and 1 interception. The Cavaliers are feeling confident after that win as they had multiple recruits visit that game. The Cavaliers take on UNC next week in the Souths Oldest Rivalry.

    #17 Wake Forest 28
    vs
    Georgia Tech 24

Quite simply, the Deacons should not have won this game. Josh Grady led an astounding fourth quarter, and the Jackets remain winless. Grady finished 23-38 with 286 yards through the air while tossing a pair of touchdowns and picks. Josh also managed to put together some nice runs. Drew Brown paces the offense's rushing game after Reynolds was knocked out with a concussion. The sophomore had 63 yards on 13 carries, while also catching a screen pass he took 66 yards to the house. The receiving corps was spread well as no receiver had over 61 yards, but 7 different players caught a pass, with 5 catching 3 or more. RS frosh Stan Bryant caught his first TD of his career (a 10 yard touchdown) as well.

This was a great finish that I better touch on. Down 14-24 the Wake offense took the field with about 4:45 left in the game. Josh Grady led an astounding drive going 5 WR most of the way and completing 5-12 yard passes with ease (largely thanks to some nice runs after the catch). The drive was capped off with the previously mentioned Bryant TD. The Wake defense held up and forced a three and out, and Wake had the ball with one timeout and about 1:45 left in the game. Again, Grady leads the charge down field, and again gets some big plays from his receivers. Wake crosses mid field, and next thing you know the Deacons are in field goal range. Coach Kasper sends in a draw to Grady on the fly, and Drew Brown takes it down to the 12 yard line. With 9 seconds left, Kasper sends in the next call, a simple run out of 4 WR trips right so's to set up a straight on field goal attempt from Bobby Jackson. Brown had a better idea, and dashed up the middle of the defense for a 12 yard go ahead touchdown leaving 4 seconds on the clock. Georgia Tech would fail on a hail mary bomb, and Wake escapes with the win.

Nebraska needed 700 yards of offense to take down Kansas. Averaged 10 ypc, threw for 300 and change, and ran for about the same. Good to get back on track before next weeks big game against Iowa.

They were pretty solid. I threw 4 picks which made it more difficult than it should have been.

One little tip to help you in the passing game, you probably already do this. Never have a pre-determined target to throw the ball too. Snap the ball and take what the defense gives you, find the open man. I can't tell you how many INTs I've thrown because I want to throw to a certain receiver before the snap and force the ball. It's a bad habit.
