In what will go down as one of the best games of the year, the #12 Washington Huskies visited the #22 ranked UCLA Bruins. The Huskies recieve the opening kickoff. The first play of the game the Bruins knew what was coming. With 7 players in the box they awaited the run. But it didn't matter as Deonte Cooper broke free for an 80 yd TD rush. Then a couple of minutes later Cooper broke free for another 80 yd rush for a TD. These plays proved to be huge as the Huskies pass offense struggled the whole game. Cooper once again carried his team with a 321 yd 4 TD performance. But the Bruins wouldn't go away lightly. After realizing the Huskies plan they packed the box the entire game. Montana couldn't even throw the ball because he was on his back before then. The Bruins came back and tied the game with a score late. After tying it up the Bruins kicked off and looked poised to get the ball back but after a Montana completion for a 40 yd gain the Huskies neared field goal range. But as the clock wined down the Huskies attempted to call a Timeout but the refs ignored them and time expired so the game went to OT. In the First overtime Cooper did what he had all game and punched in a score. The Bruins got a first down but after a couple of Husky stops faced a 4th and 3. They threw a drag route and the reciever was tackled just barely beyond the line for a first down. On the next play Bruins RB Anthony Barr who had been effective later in the game broke free, but as he reached the goal line was stripped. The ball drooped and the Bruins pounced on it to keep the ball and score the tying TD. On the next drive, after another nice run, Barr was once again stripped but this time the Huskies recovered. After a few quick runs the Huskies kicked the game winning field Goal to win an overtime thriller by the final score of 34-31.

    A overall great game!
