Well I have a bye. So I'm going to take this time to talk up my QB change
As Fuzzy would know, Mayo > Gandy. Even though Mayo only played like a quarter or less against UNC, he took charge of the offense and was leading a comeback. Even though those game stats are gone, Mayo was imprinted as the starter after the Clemson gave and will not be giving it up any time soon

at the moment, both QBs have an eqyal 73 passing attempts. Mayo is a full 11% completion rate better with twice as many TDs, and 1 less INT. He also has 324 more passing yards in that time frame which comes out to a 4.4 YPC higher. The move looks to push Wisconsin through the Big 10. They currently lead the B10 in total yards with 4088 and hold a slight margin in total offense.
Entering the week, The Badgers have the only 2 players with 5 INT in the Big 10 in Freshman Adam Evans and SO Skyler Glover. Their +15 TO Margin leads rhe Nation and is 6 higher then Michigan State in the B1G.

    Good Day to you sir

    Michigan State - 45

    #13 Illinois - 13

    Champaign stunned!

The Spartans marched onto the Illini's turf and rocked an unbeaten teams world. Mitchell would have a monster of a day with 179 yards on just 19 carries, adding 3 touchdowns as well. Cook wasn't very confident in his throws today, throwing 2 picks and barely achieving over 50% completions. The real star of this game was the defense, more specifically OLB Jones. He was in the backfield 5 times today and helped hold Illinois to just 16 yards of rushing. He would also record a pick 6, covering the HB perfectly when O'Toole attempted a screen. Looks like the Spartan run defense is back!

Coach Masler comes back and shows who's boss. Our goal from here on out is to get a decent bowl.

    Stats

    C. Cook - 13/22, 148 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT
    C. Mitchell - 19 Att, 179 yards, 3 TD
    J. Neal - 9 Tackles, 2 TFL, FF
    T. Jones - 9 Tackles, 5 TFL, INT, 1 Deflection, 1 TD

    Nebraska Takes Down Minnesota 34-14
Huskers Roll up 300 yards on the Ground

Minneapolis, MN- Nebraska toyed with the Golden Gophers for a quarter before breaking out and routing them. Minnesota scored on a 69 yard run by Lewis to take a 7-3 lead. The next time they scored the game was 34-7 and there were :03 left on the clock.

Adam Gore scored 2 more TD to move his season total to 14, and piled up 244 yards on 25 carries in just over 3 quarters of work. Gore threw in a 35 yard TD on a screen pass for good measure. David Santos led the defense with 9 tackles and an interception. And 6 different Huskers recorded at least a half sack. Ryan Johnson picked up his first career sack in the 4th, but the usual suspects joined him up top. Ruffin, Peat, and Harrison also added 1 apiece.
Mauro Bondi returned from a leg injury this week to go 4-4 from FG range hitting from 37 (2), 40, and 51.

I have to still play my game. I will play it when I get off tonight. I also need to finish my recruiting. I am going to do it on the xbox since the site has been flaky.

Defense Rises To the Occasion Blanks Northwestern

    #3 Penn State 30
    Northwestern 0

The Penn State defense had to step up and shut down the Northwestern spread and hope that the offense woke up after a 3 and out to start the game and a missed a 52 yard FG off the crossbar on their second drive. The offense was able to move the ball a little farther down the field on their next drive, that ended with Wiggins making a 35 yard FG. In the 2nd quarter McIntosh was able to hook up with TE Wade on a PA pass for a TD that took the NU defense by surprise. Wiggins was able to get another FG on the board before the half to go up 13-0.

The second half was more of the same, the PSU defense shut down the NU offense and the offense couldn't do much either. It wasn't until the 4th quarter when the offense finally got into gear. After getting stuffed on a 3rd and goal on the 3, Coach BP took the points to go up 16-0. RB Ryan Moore got in the action on a toss that went 40 yards for a TD. Derrick Johnson also got on the board with another toss play that he took 44 yards for the TD. The NU defense was tough up the middle, but weak to the outside, which was a major reason the offense was able to cut it to the outside so easily.

Next week Penn State will play the #1 Michigan Wolverines in what is sure to be a tough battle... unless the offense decides to sleep into the 4th quarter... :|
