I've narrowed down a list of 5 finalists for the T3 Season 6 Offensive and Defensive MVP's below. Overall team success factored in heavily in determining who made the cut to this point. If you think I'm overlooking one of your guys, tough noogies. For your player to be considered, you will need to post your user game stats for each player prior to the bowl games. Voting will take place after the CCG's. Offensive Candidates Florida St QB Brenton Newby - The Seminole offense (spread option) is built heavily around Newby's skills at throwing and running. His stats would appear more impressive if he were given more opportunities to score in the red zone (HB Andy Frank and HB David Carter have combined for 29 rushing TD's, mostly inside the 10). Newby has passed for 2,915 yards, 31 TD and 9 INT and has rushed for 550 yards and 2 TD. Nebraska HB Roland McKenzie - When QB Brent Wright went down the question was 'Who carries the offense?'. The answer turned out to be Mr. McKenzie running behind a beastly OL. The true frosh has 1,575 yards and 17 TD on the season. Ohio St QB Larry Walters - The 4 year starter has been around forever, but has only 1 Big 10 title to show for it. His team dropped their 3rd straight to PSU this season, so the question has to be asked if he's more the problem than the solution. He has had a great statistical season though, passing for 2,525 yards, 32 TD and 8 INT. Penn St WR Joel Fernandez - The latest in a long line of PSU playmakers for Hokie. A ridiculous big play target in the passing game, Joel has 1,633 yards and 17 TD on the year. UCLA QB Chris Taylor - The kid in Pasadena is quietly having a phenomenal season, and maybe Perry can finally play a USC/UCLA game now that Cole isn't the Trojan coach. Taylor has put up 3,232 yards with 31 TD and 5 INT on the year. Defensive Candidates Florida St FS Robert Bowser - Robert is a 3 year starter and has been the key to the FSU defense this year with his takeaways and scoring on the defensive side of the ball. This season he has 35 tackles, 3 TFL, 9 INT, 2 FR and 3 defensive TD's. Minnesota DE Chris Harris - Leon always has a guy getting to the QB, and Harris has been doing it for 2 straight seasons. He's having another award winning year, with 28 tackles, 21 TFL and 13 sacks. Penn St CB Kyle Wilson - Wilson is a physical freak, and has made QB's pay for challenging him this year, with 9 INT. Texas MLB Nick Gibson - The man in the middle for the Longhorns, he has 38 tackles, 7 TFL and a surprising 4 INT's. UCLA MLB Sonny Johnson - The winner of the 'best T3 name' award in my opinion, and he also makes big plays in Perry's 3-4 defense. Sonny has 48 tackles, 21 TFL, 7 sacks and 4 FR this year.
