    ESPN Headlines

    Gameday

    #7 UF at #1 Tennessee

This is sure a twist in the storyline of this game with Tennessee being the big favorite ranked #1 in the country. Will new coach Maxattack be able to right the ship and get the vols their first win against the Gators since .....?

    #8 LSU at #2 Auburn

This tiger bowl has been very one sided in the past few seasons with Auburn being dominant in the West. LSU has a new coach and a new attitude though and QB Charlie Williams is coming off a huge game to start the season. This should be a good one as coach Envy gets a taste of what the SEC is all about.

The Noles get back on track, beating up the Eagles at home. Senior QB Henry had a big day, going 20-32 with well over 300 yards and 4 TD's. The running game was solid but nothing like it was last season with Mr. Pryor. The 3/4 defense seems to be working out well so far but time will tell as the schedule gets tougher.

Auburn overcomes major TOs, beats LSU by 13

    LSU 7 6 21 7 0 35
    AUB 0 21 14 13 48

Envy is going to be just fine in the league. LSU started off with 21 straight points and had the Au Tigers reeling for answers as Troy Winston throws 6 interceptions. LSU took a 7 point lead into half in which they had to be disappointed not to have a wider margin as the Auburn struggled mercifully to engineer any passing game with the TOs.

The second half was much different for the Orange and Blue Tigers as Winston came back and fired 2 TDs though and Josh Arnold punched 2 in himself. The defense also stepped up the production getting 6 TOs themselves to push the category at 0. Coach Knight stayed with youngster Winston and just told him to calm down, I mean he did enter the game at VT and secured a win.

If Auburn comes to play like this @ Tennessee the outcome should be an L and could be very bad.

    Way to Rebound

The Gators coming off a disappointing loss to USC in their home opener traveled to Knoxville this weekend and came home with a huge win to open SEC play.

The Gators came out fired up holding the Vols to a 3 and out on their first possession and taking a 7 point lead. However, the Vols would answer with 2 unanswered scoring drives led by HB Bo Stehpens to take a 7 point lead of their own.

The Gators would find a way to get their composure back as they forced a TO and added 2 FGs before half to make it 13-14.

The Gators got the ball to start the second half and they took control of the game. SR HB Brian Wilkinson was knocked out but sophomore sensation Issac Sanders stepped in and held his own. The big names of this game were SO QB Trey Burton and WR Anthony Martinez as they combined for 28 of the Gators 34 points.

Great game from new Vols coach Maxattacks. The Gators have now beat their rival Vols 6 in a row. Reminds me of another school I know....

Good game Gators. I felt like I abandoned the run a hair early when I went down 2 scores, but 'what are ya gonna do?'. Your WRs killed me after the catch. Tenn will have to try to win out and back-door their way into a NC now :)

Yeah, your running game was tough to say the least. Anthony Martinez had a huge day. I still don't know how he broke some of those tackles.
