49ers Ride Rushing Attack, Tenacious D to 31-13 Won Over Rams
SAN FRANCISCO - Coming off a bye week, the San Francisco 49ers combined efficiency and physicality in earning their second win of the season against division rivals the St. Louis Rams. Rookie Devonta' Monroe shouldered the load for the 49ers rushing for over 100 yards and 2 TDs on 34 carries. Quarterback Jeremy Riggs was the epitome of efficiency, completing 75% of his passes for over 200 yards with 1 TD and 1 interception. Vernon Davis and Michael Crabtree snagged 4 catches each with Vernon Davis taking one catch in for a TD. Patrick Willis led the defense with 4 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and 1 interception. Troy Polamalu also snagged an "oskie" and brought it back 47 yards for a 49er defensive TD.
The Rams were held to just under 40 yards rushing and just over 150 yards passing, and most of the passing yards came on two desperation "jump balls" to Marques Colston. The win evened the 49ers record at 2-2 and pushed their division record to 2-1. Up next for the 49ers is another division game against the hapless Seattle Seahawks, while the St. Louis Rams host the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6.

Eagles overcome slow start, beat Giants in offensive showdown

From the 2nd half, it was all Eagles, first with a 52 yard TD pass by Ryan to Kiglore and Henery kick in the 3rd, to a Bennet TD and FG in the fourth. Giants would try to mount a positive drive, but it ended with a pick.

Steelers win their first game in a long time
It was a hard-fought win for the Steelers. The offense just had enough to pull out this victory. The first score of the game came on a drive which the Steelers could not finish with a touchdown and settled for a 25 yard field. In the second quarter, the Steelers offense would stall out for the second time and settled for yet another field. Later on in the quarter the Steelers would finally find the end zone on a pass from Arrington to Sanders to give the Steelers a 13 point lead. The Chiefs would get their first score as time expired in the first half to make the score 13-3 Steelers. In the third quarter, the only score would be on a huge run for 83 yards by Jamaal Charles to cut the Steelers lead to 3 points. The Steelers would manage to hold off the Chiefs for the rest of the game and pick up the much needed victory.

    Final Score:

    Pittsburgh Steelers 16

    Kansas City Chiefs 10
