Arkansas 31 Texas A&M 14 Arkansas Secures victory with strong QB play Arkansas QB Ronald Moore came back from injury and started the game a perfect 11/11 for 233 yards and 3 TD passes. T A&M hung close trying to recover from a first play fumble and injuries putting their 3rd string QB into the game. The aggies cut the lead to 10 after an opening 3rd quarter TD drive, but A&M never got the stop they needed to pull themselves back into the game.
Arkansas 45 Auburn 7 Big Second quarter slams door on auburn 10 points off 2 turnover inside 30 seconds remaining in the 2nd quarter doom auburn. Senior FB Brendan Dawson has a great day with over 100 yards and 2 TDs. Offensively Auburn had trouble not making mistakes against the cover 2 Arkansas defense.
Missouri 16 Miami 15 Missouri wins late after being down at the half for the second week in a row! The Tigers looked uncharacteristically sloppy early on. Jason Jones pitched a ball the wrong direction on an option play (as in play goes left, LB comes up, I hit pitch to the HB on my left, QB pitches to the right and forward.... fumble) and surehanded Steve Coleman caught a key first down only to fumble. Additionally, the offense saw a couple of critical drops in spots that would have extended drives. On the flipside, the Tigers defense played well, bending but not breaking and allowing only field goals to the Miami attack. The Hurricanes went into halftime with a 12-6 advantage and the ball. After their initial drive stalled, Mizzou looked like they could be in trouble when Jason Jones went down with an injury. Brian Ray, who beat the 'canes as the starter last season, came in and connected on 5 of 6 attempts for 88 yards and the games only touchdown, a 48 yard strike to true freshman Taylor Edwards. That TD gave Mizzou a 13-12 advantage going into the fourth. After some back and forth, the 'Canes would drive deep into Tiger territory but on 3rd down from the 15, Joe Hall thought he saw man coverage and through a quick hitch route, unfortunately for Miami, the corner was in a short zone and would step in front of the pass for an interception at the 5 yard line. After forcing a punt by the Tigers, the Hurricanes would manage a 50+ yard FG to take a 15-13 lead with 2:42 to go. Jason Jones, having returned from injury, engineered a great drive ultimately getting a first and goal and forcing Miami to burn through their timeouts before hitting a chipshot FG to get the win 16-15. Stat of the game: Passing: Miami - 9-23 for 135 and 1 INT Mizzou - 20-27 for 261 and 1 TD Great game Boom29 like I said last night, after the way the breaks were going from fumbles to dropped interceptions that bounced into your receivers hands I felt lucky to walk away with the win
Nebraska records a moral victory by holding Mizzou to "just" 63 points despite 4 first half turnovers.
24 @ 30 A&M uses 17 point 4th quarter to edge out Bama 17 @ 42 Carolina can't stay with the Aggies, despite a 17-14 halftime lead 48 @ 21 In battle of the Aggies, TAMU had way more firepower
#1226 #814 Texas A&M rides a flawless first half to victory against Miami The Hurricanes weren't their usual self in the first half against the Aggies, falling behind 20-0 by halftime and never fully recovering for a big loss. Michael Peters ran for 130 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 59 yarder in the first half and a game-sealing 34 yarder late in the 4th. A&M got another first half touchdown from its defense on a mishandled lateral that was returned by Kris Grant for a touchdown. Miami made a game of it in the second half, scoring 2 touchdowns to cut the lead to 6, but couldn't stop a strong Aggie drive that ate up time and ended up with the Peters score. Both Miami qbs threw 2 interceptions, contributing largely to the loss. GG Boom29 you just couldn't get it going early enough and then couldn't stop my final td drive, which was like a knife slowly slicing down your defense.
FSU 40 @ TAMU 38 This was the most homosexual game I have ever been a part of from the cpu. Every time I made a play, they made 2. I threw for 8 interceptions in this game, two of which saw the OPPOSITE CB come over and make the play OUTSIDE THE HASH!!!!! Basically everything FSU defender touched was an int. On the other side, we had 5 picks but dropped at least 7 others that should have been caught. Not only that but the receiver from FSU (Carter) could not be stopped. I spied him for 2/3 of the game and man covered him all game. 14 catches, 262 and a touchdown. His partner Coleman caught 7 for 118 and a touch. Total unstoppable play by those two. I COULD NOT tackle the qb, at least 4 times he shrugged off sacks to complete BIG GAINS to either receiver. I ended up with 3 sacks but they were followed by ALL DAY to throw and an easy first down completion when my DB's fell off the receivers down the field. This loss really cost me in the national picture. I'm not so much mad at the loss as the fact that they were not able to be stopped and literally picked off passes that are never picked off in this game.
Nothing against your team though Kapono. You recruited freaking well. Your receiver is simply unstoppable. I was mostly angry at the turnovers. Looking back I probably threw too many deep balls. I got a little bit one dimensional in the middle of the game and that didn't help my turnover problem. Anyways about the game Sunday... I'm not expecting the explosion of the last 2 games. Weighing my options a little bit at receiver. Lynch will be solid, the defense will be solid. Tell you what though, Wilson is doing such an efficient job at qb, I have faith in their ability to move the ball against any defense in the league right now. As we saw last week, Arizona doesn't have a bad defense and Seattle just mowed them. Buffalo's D isn't as bad as they looked last week either. We'll see. Is it you I'm playing?
Yeah. Not sure if I'll start Kaepernick or Josh Freeman vs. the Rams but I've never seen my team projected to get so many points in a week with 120. My auto-drafted team turned out pretty well lol
Arkansas 45 Florida 7 Arkansas Defense crushes Florida's Will early Florida started off well connecting on a 45 yard pass down the sidelines, but followed it up with an interception once they were in scoring range. The next play was a 67 yard TD run for arkansas. After a florida punt, the same running back fumbled on his next carry. Florida took the ball over in the red zone but threw another interception. Arkansas came back with a FG. Next play Florida fumbles and arkansas passed in a TD to go up 17 at the start of the 3rd quarter. Then the wheels came off the bus as florida QB Xavier johnson threw 2 straight pick 6's and the game was out of hand. 31-0 with every arkansas point coming off a florida turnover. Arkansas seems to have struck gold by adding a heavy addition of cover 2 based zone coverage.
I felt like I was a step slow all game long. Having not played a game for like a week hurt, but you also played well throughout.
Classic SEC style match with A&M and LSU going at it. LSU got a big play from WR Wilson, taking them all the way to the Aggie 5. But they would have to settle for a FG. The offense couldnt do much more of anything else most of the game. The Aggies had their opportunities, but could only manage 3 FG's the entire game. The Tigers took the lead late in the 4th with a TD pass to Green. A last minute attempt to get into FG range fell short, giving the Aggies another heartbreak loss. #17 LSU 10 - #12 Texas A&M 9
Actually had the distance but WAAAAAY right after the acc meter jacked last second. It was lined up originally too. That really was a heartbreaker. I really need to beat Auburn and Mizzou to nail a 5 star prestige now. 9-1 was in my grips, and now it has slipped away...
Arkansas 20 LSU 12 Arkansas pulls out tight battle over rival LSU Stiff defense and no turnovers kept LSU in the game, but LSU came up one drive short. The teams exchanged punts before Arkansas put a drive together to get into FG range but a poor read by arkansas QB Ronald Moore killed the drive. The safety slid down infront of the 10 yard hitch and was off to the races. In a huge play QB Ronald Moore showed off his legs chasing down safety Anthony Martin at the 25 yard line. LSU was held to a FG to go up 3-0. After a Ronald Moore injury, backup Robert Johnson came in and threw one pass for a 56 yard Arkansas TD. LSU drove the field for a quick FG before the half ended, 7-6 arkansas. LSU drove the field for a TD to open the half and take the lead. The 2 point conversion failed giving LSU a 12-7 lead. The Arkansas defense stayed strong for the rest of the game forcing 2 consecutive punts and then a failed 4th down conversion. The offense moved the ball pretty good connecting on another deep pass and 2 more FGs. LSU got the ball down 8 but were shut down by the tenacious arkansas zone on 4 straight plays. GG mexi.
