    Season 7 Week 3

Hard Advance @ 10 pm central on Monday

At long last, week 3 is here, and a big game looms out there for all to see. With many byes this week, all eyes will be on the #10 Purdue at #3 Texas A&M game. A&M gets a chance to redeem their only loss from last year and Purdue gets to prove it was no fluke win. Should be a good one.

    Other games:

#17 Michigan travels to Pasadena to take on #4 UCLA. Coach Parrothead has the Bruins focused early this season, and the D has been taking no prisoners. Michigan has the talent, but may be overcome by that California night life. This may be Michigan's only chance to play in Rose Bowl country this year, so they'll be looking to make it count.

Pitt at #15 Iowa. Coach Shrike should be back from hanging out with Urban Meyer on their shared leave of absence. Will he be rusty? Signs point to no. Look for Iowa to throttle the helpless Panthers.

#11 Texas Tech at Indiana. What can be said here? Will Indiana be able to hold Texas Tech to under 50 points? Possibly, but only if they play 2 quarters and call it a game. Too bad the rules don't allow that. Look for the air raid to put up some big numbers and have Hoosier fans looking forward to basketball season.

Big games on the horizon for next week:
#14 Tulsa at #1 Cal - Is that Cal ranking for real? I think coaches are punching in their ballots wrong...

#3 Texas A&M at #15 Iowa - How A&M plays will be determined by their game against Purdue this week. They could come out emotionally spent, or could come out like the earth was on fire. Will Iowa's coach be back to full play-calling speed? Should be a good one.

#2 Wisconsin at #9 Texas - Imagine the recruits Wisconsin could snag out of the lone star state with a big win here...

    Thanks Parrothead..

I set the advance for Monday, so get your stuff in.

Noles, I figure today isn't the best for you considering it is a Saturday and you probably have baseball. I have a football formal thing tonight, but pretty much anytime tomorrow before 8 pm central and after 10 pm central.

Yuck. Thats all I can say. Texas Tech demolishes Indiana 49-14, but neither Coach Max or Mason Rodgers is happy about it.

Rodgers actually played like a freshman this game. D. Harris is out for 2 weeks, but lucky for M-Rod old Cheech was still there. Rodgers atoned for each mistake he made, but playing like this is not going to get it done in the Big 12. The Red Raiders have a lot of work to do before their match up against Tulsa, and they dont have much time left to do it.

One offensive bright spot was the play of (RS)Freshman HB Joe Lawson, who stepped in when Kelvin Richardson got dinged up. Also, the fact that Rodgers completed passes to 9 different targets is a promising sign.

    Rodgers
    19/32 361yd 4TD 4INT (was rust. hopefully...)

    Richardson
    16ATT 90yd 1TD

    Lawson
    14ATT 116yd 2TD

    Charles
    4REC 133yd 3TD

Cool. You've only missed one week at this point, as we were waiting on some user games.

Actually it was more of a one sided homerun contest. The Giants got NO offense.
