Wisconsin came into their 1st game of the season sort of without an identity. Losing 5 offensive players that lead them to the Season 6 National Title game. Coach JMS made a bold move to sit 99 Ovr QB Tony Fox for 99 OVR Major Fields. Fields is a very viable WR ,a position the Badgers are weak at, but Fields adds another dimension to the offense with his 91 speed and overall toughness. We are now able to throw in some option plays and scramble when needed. All defenses will now have to key in on him. I like to have some sort of identity on offense.
Washington had an Identity with star HB Stephen Wilson, but he went down with a bad injury week 1. He is just a beast of a HB which can set up alot of offensive possibilities. Greg Baker is back but with only 2 real viable Targets, WR Tyler Wilson and TE EJ Webster throwing the ball 20-30 times is not a winning formula.
Washington just seemed to be without a game plan on offense and a drop here, bad pass there, and a fumble by Backup HB it all just never came together. Wisconsin on offense was efficient running the ball and throwing only when totally necessary. Fields was only 5/8 with 78 yds 2TD and 2 INTs. The picks didn't hurt them much as there were almost acted as punts and one was at the end of 1st half. Wisconsin was up 14-0 at half and felt like there were letting the Huskies hang around but offensively nothing clicked for the Huskies. Wisconsin ended a scoring threat late in the 4th when QB Baker decided to run and take a hit rather than slide. Fumble, Wisconsin gets the ball and Freshman HB Kelly busted a big run to end the game.
Coach Hellisan has been getting the better of Coach JMS as of the last few meetings. He beat in us in the National Title game last year UGA vs VTECH, Rose Bowl in the first season, and once again the year after. It was nice to get a win. GG.
    Video up sometime this week.

Huskies looked terrible. Definitely not the same team that was a FG away from a win over us.

The offense just was off. They went deep far too often and failed to establish the run. Baker looked like Locker out there...
