Alright PMFL here goes the official Playoff Watch straight from the musky smell of the gridiron. This is a mid-season playoff watch with two more coming as the season progresses…So let’s look at how teams are looking at the half way mark.

    NFC

Teams with a strong jockstrap or NOT:

Since there is not a team that has control of their division in the NFC at this point, and the division leaders are either one game ahead or tied, lets look at why.

Rams (Andyman) 6-2: This team looks to have started off were they left off last season WINNING. After loosing their season opener they seemed to have come back to their old form, and for that they lead the NFC. But their division is also not on lock down yet. Niners, and Hawks are playing really good ball right now. With them being 1-3 games behind the Rams and with 8 games to go. You never know what can happen. Prediction: They win their division once again but only by one game.

Giants (Phenom) 5-3: This team started off slow in the season loosing 2-3 of their first games vs teams with loosing records now. But they seem to be picking it up now and lead their division by 1 game. But with all 4 teams in that division only down 1-2 games of the Giants, we will not know who will win this division till the fat lady sings. Prediction: If they win their next game vs the Cowboys they win the division again if not look for a new team to take the reign.

Vikings (Iboogie 32) 5-3: Since they started off hot winning their first two games, they have been ON and OFF since then. Winning one and loosing one. If the pattern continues then look for this team to loose their next game vs the Chiefs. Their workhorse still continues to be HB A.P, but how long can they rely on him is a question the league is asking. Look for this division to come down to the wire as the Bears and Packers are only one game behind their leader. Prediction: Look for them to be tied with either the Pack or Bears at seasons end, leaving it to heads-up results to count.

Teams holding on to their G-String:

Panthers (Casino) 4-4: Currently tied for the division lead with the Bucs, but having beaten the Bucs once already. They have a slight hold of the lead and their .500 record. But with a date set with the HOT Colts for their next game, look for this Panthers to loose their division lead depending on the Bucs game results. Prediction: They don’t win the division but pray for a wildcard.

Bucs (Chunk) 4-4: Look for this team to slide in to first place after week 10 if the Panthers can’t get lucky and beat the HOT Colts. But their only worry is not the Panthers but also the Falcons that are one game behind them. Prediction: They win their division by one game.

49rs (redlishus) 5-3: This team is red hot right now, with only one game behind the division leaders and having split their match ups. But they have been winning by a slight margin recently which should be a concern. Can they keep winning close games? Well that’s what great teams are, teams that can win a crunch time. Prediction: They get a wildcard.

Teams below are fighting to stay alive and above .500. But with the NFC wide open anything can happen and playoff seats will be up for grabs. Don’t count these teams out as they all have a great coaching staff and will be challenging their current division leaders.

    Cowboys (hoodii) 4-4

    Bears (twotons04) 4-4

    Packers (dmass1) 4-4

Teams below .500 but certainly not out of the playoff contention yet:

    Redskins (Scikotic1) 4-5
    Eagles (BadaBing319) 3-5-1
    Falcons (gutcheck64) 3-5
    Seahawks (Vishal) 3-5

One more loss and likely out of playoff contention.

    Cardinals (ferocious) 3-6
    Lions (BigSmooth33) 2-6
    Saints (Gohard1) 2-6

Well PMFL that wraps up the NFC playoff watch, as you can see the only safe teams here are NONE. Becuz this NFC Conference is a tight as anybody has seen it. So stay tune for an exciting NFC wrap up. After all is all in the hands of the Coaches and their respective teams. But like I said, it’s not over till the fat lady sings……
