Here at the Baseline we’ve given honors so far to the DPOY, ROY, and 6th Man. Lets actually step off the court now and go into the front office. This season was full of trades and FA movement. Which front office did the best job this season improving their team? The candidates all have excellent track records and are all very deserving. Your candidates are…

    THIS IS NOT A VOTE:

    Reasons:

Dru: Shed some serious cap space but I believe killed his team to win now.
Bucs: who did he receive in the ghost trade
    sonn: Added Noah what else?

Dru: I can see that. Dru also set his team up to space the floor and allow his best player to do the things he's best at.

Bucs: Easily gave himself the best defensive and athletic frontcourt in acquiring both Anthony Randolph anf Javale Magee from ghost.

Sonn: Got himself a playmaking point guard in Lin, a solid frontcourt tandem of Scola and Noah, and I believe he also brought in Chandler Parsons.

I'll vote for myself if only because I never thought I'd be able to trade Boozer or Noah. I don't know that I've killed myself to win now, and I will have $36 million in expiring contracts (2 are for guys rated in the mid 80's) to use as trade chips next year if I want.

After that I'll go with Sonjay then Bucs.

Bucs getting not one but two young atheltic frontcourt players for an undersized overpaid center was fuckin stealing..... and he made the other GM feel good about the trade......

I voted on the basis of who made their team both better now AND the future.

Sonn- acquired rebounding, defense, athleticism, and youth. Made the Pacers much more dangerous
Bucs- great trade, but let's remember the GM he acquired the pieces from also stressed about resigning a guy he already had under contract through next season, so it's not like Bucs was matching wits with a shrewd GM:)
Dru- if he can sign a big piece after next year, the moves will look good. However, right now all he did is get extremely small up front which may cost him in the playoffs.

Can we calm down with acting like I'm starting a midget at the 4? Granger is 1 inch shorter than Boozer and weighs about 15 pounds less. In fact, he is also 1 inch shorter and a whole 8 pounds lighter than your mammoth starting PF Humphries.

How does Granger's rebounding rating compare to Humphries? ;)

Since I'm biased I'll move myself #1. I have 4 long term starters now and I'll have about $18 million in cap room to spend this offseason.
    2. Bucs for his sodomy of Ghost.
    3. Drew. If he can turn his expirings into great players then he will be #1.

You said I got smaller, you said nothing about rebounding ratings. If you are going to be a smartass at least be consistent about it.

Ill keep the cycle of self love among the nominees going and vote for myself #1 , not because of the trade but because of my acquisitions of Mikael Pietus who started a good chunk of the season and then moved to bench and was a good defensive presence. Also turned Deshawn stevenson into Kim English and Austin Daye who are two atheltic project players who can score on their own. Turned a roster that was 7 or 8 deep into one that is 12 deep.

#2 ill go with Dru and #3 go with Sonn
