    Season One Recruiting Discussion

Florida got its recruiting off to a strong start for the year. The Gators picked up four commitments in week one - one 5 star and 3 4 stars. Included in the haul was the #1 OLB, #2 C, #4 CB and #8 DT.

I actually didn't have any :5stars: interested since we had to restart. Big bummer, because I had the #1 DT very interested in me.

This class will address my needs a bit more, though.

nah, he went one better..... grabbin Florida when you know they are beyond loaded makes Lawdog's game genie seem legit...... guaranteed he grabs 7 or 8 5 star guys with around 10 or so 4 star players.... only team to compete with him in recruiting will be USC and maybe Penn State on a really, really good year....

Well UCLA benefited greatly from the restart, I had several 4 stars interested in me, but none with UCLA in the lead, this year I had several 4 stars interested, and on top of that had two 5 stars in their top 3, and the game genie delivered with 3 commits in the first week, from 1 5 star, 1 4 star, and 1 3 star.

It looks like the option may be coming to UCLA.

It was the restart more than anything.

I wasn't in the top 10 in a single 5 star recruit in the previous year, this year I was in the lead for 1, and in the lead for several 4 star players.

That just means the game genie has gotten sophisticated enough that it can actually CAUSE glitches that require entire dynasty restarts.

Has anyone changed their recruiting strategy? I know I have, gone our the days of going against multiple users for top players.

Very difficult to change players' minds once they have picked a favorite school.

The first year you can cut as many players as you want that are on your roster that you inherited.

After the first year, we go back to enforcing the recruiting limitations.

Drifter can correct me if that is wrong.

So we can offer scholly's over the allotted number for this year and this year only to get rid of any players we dont want on our roster? Just trying to clarify...Thanks.

At least you have a home game in the near future. I go on the road for the next four weeks straight and three of them are U v U games. So i cant have a recruit visit until Week 7 at the earliest. Picked up the #10 SS this year on an insta commit, nothing special but need players in the secondary.

    congrats on the signing.......

i would rather have my visits late when you actually have a shot to close the guy instead of early when the recruits are just using you to smash chick at your school and get away for a bit....

I think the biggest adjustment is realizing that 89 or 90 speed is pretty damn fast in this game.

89 speed in the secondary in 2009 would get you murdered, in this year's game you still may have a chance.

    Missouri got its 1st commit:

    Brian Stewart/Anadarko, OK/SS/:3stars:/PS #50/6'2 225lbs

With only 1 SS coming back next year, needed to add some depth. Hopefully by the time he is a junior, he will be solid.

and Lawdog your right about the speed thing....... B+ guys are good..... even players with B rating might work in the secondary...

It sucks I'm having to miss this recruiting week. I'm really in the mix with a lot of guys that other users and good CPU teams are going after. I might get my gf to try and do it over the phone...

Corners with B might be okay if they are going to be a beast of a press guy in man. Maybe a SS who can come up and shove his shoulder in a HBs chest.

nothing, you heard nothing from me ....

haha, he's just a 1-star fullback. I saw UVa was 2nd on his list behind me, but you had not offered him.
