FSU 52 Indiana 21 We can tell from this game that the defense is in trouble and the secondary sucks. Also using the 3 DTs didn't seem to do too much against the run. We'll continue to run our system and hop for the best. We're good but it is a rebuilding year. Marvin Bracy had a 90 yard KR TD and an 80 yard PR TD. RS Freshman QB Eric Everett was efficient in his debut. QB Eric Everett - 17-22 for 165 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 6 carries for 14 yards HB Michael Vaughn - 7 carries for 87 yards, TD HB Willie Williams - 4 carries for 41 yards HB Will Pugh - 6 carries for 37 yards TE Justin Dukes - 6 receptions for 66 yards WR Craig Jacobs - 3 receptions for 36 yards, TD LB Matthew Thomas - 12 tackles, 2 TFL
LSU 38 Georgia 28 This game (like many others) came down to turnovers. Neither team punted, LSU players caught the only two bad passes UGA's QB threw, and Bulldog defenders dropped 2 1st quarter INT chances. The early turnovers allowed the Tigers to build a lead that they never relinquished. Good game GMONEY 15. Player of the Game - QB Luis Fuller - 16/19 274 yards, 2 TD, 70 rushing yards and a rushing TD
FSU 59 Duke 3 Eric Everett had 3 TD passes and no INTs and the team ran for 253 yards while holding Duke to 109 total yards and a 54-yard FG off the upright. 2 practice CPU games are done and we face VT next week. They've beaten us by a 2-point conversion 2 of the last 3 years. QB Eric Everett - 15-21 for 184 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT, 7 carries for 20 yards, TD HB Michael Vaughn - 13 carries for 91 yards, TD HB Nick Sanders - 13 carries for 68 yards, 2 TD HB Will Pugh - 4 carries for 49 yards WR Craig Jacobs - 6 receptions for 87 yards, TD WR Marvin Bracy - 5 receptions for 52 yards, TD LB Matthew Thomas - 6 tackles, TFL, 2 INT
Same to you my friend, your TE is nasty quick. I don't envy the guys in the SEC east trying to cover that dude.
LSU 28 SC 21 Another season and I still can't pass vs the CPU - 4 INTs on the day for Luis Fuller and no TD passes. Thankfully we were able to run enough to stay in the game and grind out some drives.
GA 49 ARK 14 The Dawgs bounce back from getting their ASS handed to them in LSU last week. No more Hershel Walker on offense or Champ Bailey on defense so new players need to step up their game if GA is to contend. Soph RS RB Devon Martin was a pleasant surprise. He is not fast..87 speed but his ACC and AGILITY 89 and 91 BREAK TACKLE. He will command the ball and we need to give it to him. Against the Hogs he had 75 yards on 9 carries and scored times as he only played a little more than 1/2 game. Fellow Soph RS RB Curtis Martin Jr. chipped in with 95 yards and 1 td to lead the Dawgs attack. Defense had 3 picks during this game. Solid overall team win for GA. They head on the road again for the 3rd straight WEEK TO OPEN THE SEASON. Traveling to Columbia SC to take on the Gamecocks. Dam you recchem2000 .
FSU 37 VT 34 This was a game that the FSU offense didn't have to do too much to win. We were able to rack up 37 points, most of which stemming from the 8 Virginia Tech INTs. VT still did throw for 414 yards and 4 TDs. Matthew Thomas had 3, all in the first half as we took a 30-14 lead by scoring twice in 11 seconds. Still VT was able to score before the half, making it a 1 score game, 30-22. After some bad offense in the 3rd quarter, FSU was able to score on a 30 yard run by Nick Sanders to go up 15 with 4:44 left. VT was able to get it close and recover an onside kick, but knowing the pass was coming, FSU was able to get it's last turnover of the day. We're 3-0 and face Virginia at home next week. GG Boom29 FSU QB Eric Everett - 12-18 for 143 yards, TD, INT HB Michael Vaughn - 13 carries for 69 yards HB Nick Sanders - 5 carries for 62 yards, TD WR Marvin Bracy - 3 receptions for 61 yards, TD LB Matthew Thomas - 5 tackles, 3 INT, FF VT QB Matt Jackson - 28-43 for 414 yards, 4 TD, 8 INT HB Andrew Causey - 5 carries for 51 yards, TD WR Jerry Stanley - 6 receptions for 125 yards, TD WR Jason Noble - 5 receptions for 100 yards, TD
2 CPU games vs AP teams Florida St. 38 Virginia 17 FSU didn't look too good in the first half, with the conservative running game and fumbles gave Virginia a 10-7 halftime lead, but we scored on our first drive, going up 14-10 and didn't look back as the defense held steady. QB Eric Everett - 11-14 for 185 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 11 carries for 38 yards HB Michael Vaughn - 12 carries for 37 yards WR Craig Jacobs - 2 receptions for 26 yards, 35-yard rush TD TE Justin Dukes - 4 receptions for 41 yards, 2 TD LB Matthew Thomas - 8 tackles, INT Florida State 34 Notre Dame 15 After an even first half, FSU was able to hold Notre Dame to 3 FG's and led 21-9. Notre Dame's offense didn't do much in the 2nd half, and despite 3 turnovers, FSU was able to do enough to win with 293 rushing yards. Notre Dame is now 0-4 . So much for letting them win to make everyone go to the NFL next year. QB Eric Everett - 12-21 for 116 yards, 2 INT, 8 carries for 49 yards, TD HB Michael Vaughn - 11 carries for 121 yards, 2 TD HB Nick Sanders - 4 carries for 61 yards, TD WR Marvin Bracy - 6 receptions for 67 yards
LSU 42 MSU 30 Story of the game was HB Anthony Wood, who broke the school single game rushing record with 285 yards and 2 TDs. He had 3 carries that went for 45 or more yards on the day, including a 72 yard carry off the teams 1 yard line following a goal line stand by the defense.
Hokies Win! Truth be told, I don't remember much of this game...What I do remember is that VT had a 20-6 lead midway through the third quarter before Clemson scored two TDs in 53 seconds to tie the game at 20. Clemson's comeback was highlighted by a 27 yard TD pass to TE Desmond Yates on the first play following an interception of VT QB Matt Jackson. Outside of his two interceptions, Jackson played a very efficient game throwing for 278 yards and 2 TDs on 24/32 passing. Late in the fourth quarter, Jackson drove the Hokies deep into Tiger territory before hibernating in the red zone. From there, K TJ Clement connected on a 25 yard FG to give the Hokies a 23-20 lead with a mere 10 seconds left. Clemson's patented rushing attack was held in check, not because of the VT defense, but because Clemson found itself in an early hole and somewhat abandoned the run. MexiRican35 , Good game. I really never thought I was going to win that game. I kept waiting for my mistakes to happen, so when you tied it up I thought to myself that it was about time you came back. Player of the Game: VT QB Matt Jackson - 24/32, 278 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT
Miami's Cheese No Match for VT Macaroni VT wins despite suspect playcalling from the Canes. If I never, ever, ever, ever have to play Miami again I would be so grateful. That is all.
I'd almost take that, would be more believable. The Canes appeared to have hired WGW's offensive coordinator. Their QB has 60s in SPD/ACC/AGI and still gets to the corner without being touched.
FSU 44 Maryland 10 Win puts us at 6-0, but we've played 5 CPU games so far. I'm not sold on our team yet, defensive line isn't playing as well as I'd hoped and our secondary is young. The story of the game was FSU running for 300+ yards. QB Eric Everett - 13-19 for 135 yards, TD, INT, 5 carries for 61 yards, TD HB Michael Vaughn - 8 carries for 137 yards, TD HB Nick Sanders - 10 carries for 57 yards
FSU 30 A&M 16 A&M opened the game with a punt after Trey Williams was stopped short on a 3rd and 1 around midfield. FSU the drove 80 yards, capped by a Eric Everett run. FSU held A&M to just one FG in the first half thanks to winning the field position battle, and were able to tack on another FG after Hill threw a pick late in the half, FSU led 13-3 getting the ball. In the 3rd quarter, FSU threw an INT in the endoze and Texas A&M out together a nice drive to cut the lead to 13-10. FSU then got the running game going and the defense played well forcing 2 INTS. Florida State QB Eric Everett - 10-13 for 124 yards, INT, 2 rush TD HB Michael Vaughn - 14 carries for 94 yards, TD HB Willie Williams - 5 carries for 53 yards HB Nick Sanders - 5 carries for 38 yards TE Justin Dukes - 4 receptions for 53 yards Texas A&M QB K Hill - 20-30 for 251 yards, 2 TD, 4 INT HB Trey Williams - 7 carries for 19 yards WR R Seals Jones - 8 receptions for 125 yards, TD
FSU 60 NC St. 10 FSU ran the ball well in the first half an took a 24-7 lead. We then scored 28 3rd quarter points, thanks to 2 defenisve TDs and a kick return TD to go up 52-10. After 2 FG's we were up 58-10, and wondering how we'd get to the scoring cap, we sacked the QB on a screen pass for a safety . I'm just excited for the the Clemson, Florida, and VT games coming up. Finally some user games. QB Eric Everett - 7-12 for 144 yards, 2 TD, 7 carries for 43 yards, TD HB Michael Vaughn - 7 carries for 48 yards, TD HB Nick Sanders - 9 carries for 55 yards HB Willie Williams - 7 carries for 45 yards HB Will Pugh - 8 carries for 57 yards WR Craig Jacobs - 3 receptions for 59 yards, TD LB Matthew Thomas - 7 tackles, INT-TD
