Ahh the Seattle Seahawks, defending world champs. On paper I should have all the players needed to make it to the postseason without much issue, however this will be my first big online league, so I can't count on at least 10 wins over the CPU. One thing that may haunt me is Sherman and Thomas III's contracts. A lot of these contracts are being handed out on the assumption that the cap will continue to increase, which is something Madden does not do. Lets start with QBs Wilson wins the job without a doubt, the real question is who wins the backup spot. In Madden 25 Pryor could become a beast, and I'm leaning towards him unless I get a decent trade offer. I will also need to sign Wilson to a long term deal, so the cost of that could also influence the backup spot. Daniels will be a definite cut. Besides Miller TE is a little thin, although the Seahawks playbook in Madden 25 did not rely too heavily on 2 TE packages, so I suppose that's fine. Most likely my WR core will be Harvin, Baldwin, Rice and Kearse. Lockette may make a spot at a special teamer but the others will be battling for a spot. Havin will be interesting as I'm not sure what his INJ rating will be, so he may not be on the field as much as I would like. I'm set at running back between Lynch and Turbin for a few years at least. I really like the power run game and I like running FB I-Formation and Pistol plays with the fullback. This means I like a fullback with good RBK as well as decent catching and running. This looks like one of the few positions I may need to improve to fit my scheme, as Seattle does not have any good runblocking FB and the other RBs aren't great at it either. While most of their PBK could use some work, these o-lineman have great RBK for Seattle's run first scheme. The only weak link appears to be LG, but I'm thinking I may be able to make Carpenter better throughout the season, or pick up someone in FA. In general, O line seems pretty solid with Unger, Carpenter, Okung, Sweezy, and Bowie Again all really good or solid starters at every D-Line or LB position. The only weakness I see is that there is a lack of quality dept at most of these positions including OLB and DE. These are positions I can look to shore up in FA or via the Draft next season. I'm assuming these positions will rarely get injured like in Madden 13/25. Here's another area where I won't need to worry about the starters, but there is a lack of depth. I would like a better option at CB#3 and 4, but Lae and Jefferson are solid players. Sherman should lock down my opponent's #1 receiver and Thomas III and Chancellor should do a great job at taking away the deep ball or blitzing. I know Sherman and Thomas are locked up long term so they give me a great anchor to build around for the future.
