Ok, so i think we need to make the CPU a bit tougher. We're rolling solid teams right now and it should be more of a struggle than it has been.

So let's start talking which sliders to adjust.

    I say we start at

    CPU Def. Awareness bump
    CPU RB Ability bump
    CPU Run Blocking bump

    Human Def. Awarness cut
    Human RB Ability cut
    Human Break Block cut

what do you guys think we need to look at?

    I almost lost to FIU!!!!

I think we need to raise the cpu run game for sure.

    And lower human pass accuracy.

but i hesitate to make any big jumps, i'd prefer doing it in 5 pt increments.

First off ill agree that some of the sliders need to be adjusted. But how many losses to CPU last year?
Kinger won on last second field goal.
Ohio St. lost by 3 and had a chance to get onside kick at end to tie or win.

i don't want it to be like last year if it's possible... which i think it is with these functional sliders.

And still, you point out close games... but human winners all around... n-o-t sim

I think we raise CPU running and Def Awr.

Dont lower our running backs ability, the adjustment of the CPU D awr should be enough to start.

CPU defensive running should be bumped.

HUM passing acc should be bumped down

I had a tough game vs PSU........if I wasnt at home I think I might have lost. I am VA Tech and dont expect to lose

Human vs. Ranked CPU games so far ...

    Alabama (JFosh) 23, Ohio State 20 (3)
    Georgia (Hellisan) 44, Oklahoma State 10 (34)
    Georgia Tech (moreecemos) 40, USC 35 (5)
    #22 Utah 34, #4 Alabama (JFosh) 48 (14)
    #3 Texas 27, Florida State (Kingerock) 29 (2)

Average victory is 11 points. Take away Helli's demolishing of OK State and the average human victory is less than a touchdown - 6 points.

I think we should have a better idea after week three. Everybody is either playing a ranked team, a non-ranked but very good program or a human (except Ryno who continues his cupcake schedule).

Bly you forgot my game vs #6 PSU. I won 58-42. It was very close until the 4th quarter where Daryll Clark fell apart.........sort of like real life.

I would like to see more running from the CPU. Not sure if I'm qualified to make more remarks.

FSU isn't a title contender, but we do have good speed on a great defense. I had to run the ball 60+ times to get over Texas by 2, keeping the ball away from McCoy.

I shutout #19 BYU but the are way over-rated, in game and IRL.

I would start subtle changes, nothing major, until we get a chance to see how this is going to work. We also have to remember that our league is full of world class players. Some of us would go undefeated against the CPU with fully jacked sliders and playing with SMU 2nd team vs the top 12 teams... in the NFL.

I guess I didn't pay much attention to college football last year but how many games did Washington win?

i barely beat Nebraska.....again thank god i was home. I was down 34-31 and I scored with 50 secs left (38-34)......they went down the field like i wasn't there...was able to make a few stops and with 3 secs left 3rd down on my own 25 yard like.....I did not blitz and the QB stood there what seemed to be forever b/c everyone was covered......finally my DE brown broke loose and force and pass while being hit........VA Tech escapes 2010's first cpu loss...phew!

I am having trouble with the CPU passing.last night at one point Nebraska was 12-12 with like 200 yards. The only way I was able to cause in-completions was an INT or a hitting the QB while throwing.

Is the nebraska QB good??? Ratings??

when you're playing as one of the true powerhouses in this game, i'd say a B- is a cupcake team. if you were rolling with Miss. State or something that might be different. But LSU? You could probably easily handle a B- with your backups.

personally i'd be hesistant to futz with anything that says human on it until we have a few more human vs. human games.

I understand the point about wanting cpu games to be tougher, but that shouldn't be at the expense of our head-to-head games. I think if you bring defense down we'll risk our human vs. human games turning into the 58-49 shootouts from last year.

I'd say start with a slight bump to CPU defense and CPU running sliders and see how that looks.

I play in the SEC, my schedule is infinitely harder than yours EVERY year.

    and LOL @

    Army
    Michigan
    Pitt
    Duke
    Wake Forest
    Boston College
    Maryland
    NC State

I WISH i had that schedule every season

I agree my schedule is light this year.. i really didn't look into it before the season started. I would have definitely switched up either Tulane or Lafayette with a tougher game.

only two I picked on there were Army (as a warmup game) and Michigan.

and i'm not the one complaining about the computer being too easy. yeah those games were easy, but they were supposed to be.

but when we've had several genuine candidates for the Golden Reset Button against legit opponents i'm not sure we're far off.
