    If it really is only $40,000,000 that really, really, really is chump change.

    Some lawyer involved in the case said there's about 200,000 people in the class action suit.

    40,000,000/200,000 = $200/person.........

    Settlement = $40,000,000
    Class = 200,000 - 300,000

    Per player that is $133.33 - $200 and that is BEFORE lawyer fees. If they get a quarter in fees (which would be low) that is $100 - $150 per player.

    Well done jackasses.

    Sucks, but hey, you get Madden still. I'm sure you'll forget about NCAA before you know it and will be a positive, contributing member of our Madden community here at TSO.

    Well idk about other people but I will switch over to Madden. Although I like college football more, I am excited to get into a league where I don't have to play the CPU 90% of the time.

    I get Madden because of the export/import draft class and now there will be no more.

    Well, perhaps you can get involved in one of the many leagues we have here and can see how awesome Madden can be when you're playing 31 other human controlled owners. It really is a ball.

    If let's say one million people bought NCAA football, would you have been willing to pay $40 bucks every two/three years to keep the franchise going?

    I know that isn't how the world works, but just a question I'd like to see an answer to.

    If it mean the series would continue I'd send my $40 this year. Hell, I'm already in over $100 with NFUT so what's another $40. It beats the alternative. But, with that being said, I'm not sure EA had to settle. We'll see what the Supreme Court thinks. At the end of the day, without the NCAA, CLC, EA Sports, ESPN, CBS, FOX, Rivals, Scout.com, etc these guys would be nobodies and would have no "likeness" to sue for. Its stupid and appalling.

    NCAA is 100+ teams and cool 100+ completely different stadiums to play in

    No NCAA = more madden leagues

    It's not hard to get into a league either. Leagues are looking for new players all the time.

    Get on league waiting lists. Every league has one. Also league openings are talked about on the site all the time.
