To kick off the start of NCAA 13, everyone must post a team season outlook. This outlook should point out key players, key conference games* on the schedule and a season record prediction. The kicker is, you must do this for the other user team in your division.

As a reminder. here are the team choices:

    * SteamboatReb - Since Pitt is being moved early into the ACC Coastal, you will have to make some schedule assumptions.

    Texas A&M
    T2
Texas A&M will begin a new chapter in its history as the newest member of the SEC West. Going into one of the toughest divisions in the nation is bad enough, but the Aggies will be doing so with a brand new quarterback, new offensive and defensive schemes and a coach who is a bit rusty on the sticks [formerly known as T2Express]. If the Aggies can find a way to win the SEC West in their inaugural season, watchout sportsfans!
    Key Offensive Leaders:
    Christine Michael
The number one impact player for this offense is none other than RB Christine Michael. As a darkhorse Heisman candidate and an all around machine, Michael will need to carry the load.. and the 300+ lb defensive lineman of the SEC on his back, to help make waves this season for Texas A&M. He is however a bit of an injury threat, coming off back to back seasons with a broken leg [2010] and a torn ACL [2011], so RB Ben Malena better keep in shape as he is undoubtedly going to make an appearance at some point this season.
The offensive line as a unit should be one of the best in the SEC, with juniors Jake Mathews and Luke Joeckel being potential NFL 1st rounders next year. They must learn to protect the QB this season, as Jameill Showers boasts the most experience of the bunch with 5 pass attempts and 9 rushing attempts. Dual-threat RS Freshman Johnny Manziel could possibly get the starter nod as well after looking impressive in this years Maroon and White Spring Game.
And you can't forget Ryan Swope (read "Wes Welker").. The shifty slot man has proven to be a favorite target after compiling 1,200+ yards and 11 scores last season. Coach T2 will need to put the ball in his hands early and often to be in the game week in and week out.
    Key Defensive Leaders:
    Sean Porter
The defense will rely heavily on LB Sean Porter to lead the transition to a 4-3 this season. Sitting at 6' 2" and 230+ lbs, he is built for the punishing hits required in the SEC. DE Damontre Moore also needs some recognition, however the junior better conjure up his inner "Von Miller" if he intends to be remotely successful as a pass rusher in the SEC.
The secondary may be the weakest link, so the pass rush had better be on top of it's game to take some pressure off the corner backs and safeties. At the very least, SEC teams play more of a smashmouth running game than a Texas Tech air show, so the Aggies can make do as long as the big nasties up front stay healthy.
    Games to Watch:
    [IMG][IMG]
The Aggies will learn to sink or swim in the SEC right away as they play host to the Florida Gators and Coach sdid22 in the 2nd week of the season. Coach T2 had better hope he has found a QB by this game, otherwise it will be a long day for the Aggies and a enthusiastic bus ride back to Gainesville.
    [IMG][IMG]
The battle of the Maroon & White ten weeks in may have SEC West championship inclinations on the line if both teams are near perfect on the season. Coach HackGolfer is a fresh face for Bulldogs but is a familiar foe to Coach T2 as the two have previously butted heads in the Big XII as HC's at Mizzou and Nebraska. Look for this game to go down to the wire.
    Season Prediction:
    8-4
The Aggies will struggle early, but will find the right rhythm to close out the season and get into a mid-tier bowl game. Just don't expect them to come away with a National Championship anytime this decade.

Oh, I assume all sorts of things about Pitt (both the user and the team) already. I will share said assumptions a little later this evening.

I did find this nugget as to future ACC schedules:

The Atlantic and Coastal divisions will remain the same with Syracuse joining the Atlantic and Pitt joining the Coastal. The current primary crossover partners will remain consistent with Syracuse and Pitt becoming primary crossover partners with each other.

When Pitt and Syracuse join the ACC, the league will play a nine-game conference schedule. The format will consist of each team playing all six in its division each year, plus its primary crossover partner each year and two rotating opponents from the opposite division. This six-year cycle allows each team to play each divisional opponent and its primary crossover partner six times (three home and three away) while also playing each rotating crossover opponent two times (one home and one away).

    2012 UNC Football Preview
    [IMG]
Key players for UNC in 2012 are:
    Erik Highsmith
    [IMG]
A player who caught 51 passes for 726 yards last year. He is a North Carolina native that looks to have a big year.

    Bryn Renner
    [IMG]
Renner is a QB that just keeps growing and he is only a Junior. In his Sophmore season he passed for 3000+ yards and 26 touchdowns. If he keeps developing he can quickly become one of the best QBs in the ACC.

    Giovani Bernard

Bernard had the 3rd most rushing yards with 1,253 and 13 TDs. Who know what he can do to the ACC for the next 3 years.

If these players all preform well UNC might be in the running for an ACC title by years end.

    Key Games for UNC are:

These game are back to back on the schedule. These match ups will be tough for UNC with both teams always having good D. We will have to see how there O does in these games.

    Record Preview:

Coming off of a 8-7 year last year I see SteamboatReb improving to 8-4. If there offense does really well maybe they can do even better.

    IOWA HAWKEYES
    2012 TEAM PREVIEW
    [IMG]
The Iowa Hawkeyes come into the 2012 season without many key parts to their success in recent years. However, that never stopped them before. With a smart and defensive minded coach, the Hawkeyes will be able to keep themselves within reach of any game and hope to make that big play to win the game. They will need to find a running back that they can stick with because that is the biggest loss they've had to go through. A very tough division that includes great user teams in Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan. This year might be more of a rebuilding year but some fans are optimistic about their favorite team in black and gold.
    [IMG]OFFENSIVE KEY PLAYER(S)[IMG]
    KEENAN DAVIS
    [IMG]
Keenan Davis will have to be the go to guy for the Hawkeyes this year as Marvin McNutt is now gone. In order for the Hawkeyes to pound the rock, Davis will have to be able to stretch the defense and make key plays.
    CJ FIEDOROWICZ
    [IMG]
CJ Fiedorowicz must be that other piece for the Hawkeyes to finish games. The coach loves to rely on his tight end in key situations and at 6'7, this monster should be able to beast any defender.
    [IMG]DEFENSIVE KEY PLAYER(S)[IMG]
    JAMES MORRIS
    [IMG]
James Morris will have to be the key guy for this defense as it has lost many of the key components from such a gritty defense in years past. Morris will be the man that controls everything out there for the Hawkeye defense.
    KEY GAMES
    October 20th
    [IMG][IMG]
A huge game for both teams as Cimmy24 will have to travel to Kinnick Stadium to face off in a very heated rivalry in recent history.
    November 17th
    [IMG][IMG]
This one should be a battle as these two users always find themselves coming down to the end with each other in great wars.
    Season Prediction
7-5 with a bowl game invitation. The conference will be too star studded this year and Iowa is looking up although they have jumped in prestige. If the Hawkeyes can get a good recruiting class this season, beware of the Black and Gold again.

    MARYLAND TERRAPINS
    TEAM PREVIEW 2012
    Neuro
The 2011 Football season wasn’t so friendly to the Terps as they finished a dismal 2-10 (1-7 Atlantic Division). First Year coach Neurotic Truth will have his hands full with turning around a Maryland program; despite the return of 15 starters on offensive and defense. If there is one thing the new ball coach can use as a starting point will be the defensive unit, which returns 10 starters; including All American, Joe Vellano. The Senior defensive lineman lead the FBS in tackles per game by a lineman with a 7.8 clip per game. When the ball carrier is lucky enough to get past Vellano, linebackers Demetrius Hartsfield and Darin Drakeford are there for clean-up duty. Hartsfield was an honorable mention pick a season ago, while Drakeford lead the league with four forced fumbles.

Second Team All American Joe Vellano will anchor a defensive team that has 10 returning starters from a year ago.

Demetrius Hartsfield led the Terps in tackles last year (106) and will be called upon again to force his will upon the opposition.
On the offensive side, the Terps return only five starters, but 3 of their top 4 receivers from a year ago return (Kerry Boykins, Kevin Dorsey and TE Matt Furstenburg. Dorsey led the team in receptions with 45 catches for 573yds. QB C.J. Brown, who saw action and started 5 games last season, is number #1 on the depth chart going into the season. He can beat you with both his arm and legs as he demonstrated by gaining 574yds on the ground; a Maryland single season record for a QB. The running game, particularly at HB, is going to be the big question mark for Maryland. With the departure of Davin Meggett, The Terps will have to rely on Sophomore Justus Pickett and freshman Brandon Ross to carry the load if they are going to make any waves in the ACC.
The Terrapins will need Brown to continue where he left off from last season to have a chance in the highly competitive conference.
Perhaps Brown’s most dangerous returning receiver, the senior wideout will need to be on top of his game for Maryland to have a chance for success.
    Games to Watch:
    Sept 22 @ West Virginia
    Nov. 10 @ Clemson
    Nov. 17 vs FSU
    Nov. 24 @ UNC

    Prediction: 8-4
A less than admirable display from a year ago, the Maryland Terrapins will ride their defensive until the offensive unit can gel and put points on the board. Based on this premise and outlook of the up and coming ACC, I think the new look Terps will win at least 7 games under their new coach and get back to a bowl game after a 1 year hiatus.

Following a loss to SMU in the 2011 BBVA Compass Bowl, Pitt wrapped up a somewhat disappointing 2011 with a 6-7 record. Evem though 2011 was a disappointing season, the excitement level in Pittsburgh is slowly building to a fever pitch as the fan base is lloking forward to both embracing a new coach as well as a new conference. In 2012 Pitt will play its inaugural season as a member of the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference (Coastal? I guess the minds in ACC equate the Allegheny, the Monongahela and the Ohio with the Atlantic Ocean). Pitt will have a slight advantage early in the season against their "new" foes with a "new" coach. However, Pitt will not be able to rely on unfamiliarity with their coach, scheme and personnel if they plan to compete with the better teams in the ACC.
    KEY PLAYERS - OFFENSE
    Robert Graham - HB
    [IMG]
Probably the single-most important player on Pitt's 2012 roster. In 2012, Pitt's success as a team is tied to Graham's individual performance. So goes Graham, so goes the team. Graham is a top 5 pro prospect and is a true "home run hitter" in the backfield. There are lingering questions about his health, as his 2011 campaign was cut short by a knee injury in Week 8. For Pitt to win now, they will have to ride their thoroughbred. Graham is one of a handful of players who possesses the skills to win ACC Player of the Year as well as possibly the Doak Walker or even the Heisman.

    Devin Street - WR
    [IMG]
Devin Street has the size (6'4" & 190 lbs.) and the speed to vertically stretch the field and prevent opposing safeties from crowding the line. Street must stretch the field to keep running lanes open for Robert Graham as Pitt will likely struggle to get Graham going if the opposition can keep 7 or 8 men in the box. Conversely, the running ability of Robert Graham should provide Street with one-on-one coverage, especially on traditional running downs. Expect some big plays out of street.
Chris Jacobson & Ryan Turnley - OL
    [IMG] [IMG]
Jacobson and Turnley are Pitt's best two offensive lineman and must open holes for Graham if Pitt is to be to be able to run the ball. Turnley is on the Rimington Trophy watch list, and Jacobson is the most experienced OL and has pro talent.
    KEY PLAYERS - DEFENSE
    Aaron Donald - DT
    [IMG]
Only a sophomore, Aaron Donald already possesses the motor, speed and size needed to project well at the next level. Donald alone will allow Pitt to be disruptive against the run, and regardless of the down and distance, Donald will spend a lot of time in the other teams backfield.
    Jarred Holley - FS
    [IMG]
Jarred Holley is both experienced and talented and will provide a presence in the deep third or deep half that will allow aggressive play at the line of scrimmage. Athletic player and a leader on defense.
    KEY GAMES
Although Pitt's ACC schedule is still undecided as to specific dates, we do know the teams that will populate said schedule. Pitt will face three divisional tests, the outcome of which will dictate whether Pitt finds itself in the Orange Bowl/Chick-Fil A Bowl or the Independence/Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.
2012 is no different than any other year in the ACC. The Coastal division title goes through Blacksburg, and Pitt would do well to have both their chin straps and jock straps on tight when they get their first dose of Beemerball.
While recent scandals have plagued the 'Canes football program, they are still the U, still recruit well in south Florida and still have a roster two deep in pro level talent. Getting a win against the U could increase Pitt's exposure in the Sunshine State and is the first step to gaining a recruiting foothold (maybe a pipeline?) into the fertile recruiting grounds there (watch out sdid22, Pitt is coming!).
Biggest game for either school. Coach Reb is new to the Coastal division and will likely face the same first year growing pains as Coach Pitt. While it is possible that this game will decide the Coastal division title, it will more likely determine which team gets into mid-tier bowl and which team rings in the New Year in Shreveport. This will be evenly matched coaches with similar talent. Will likely be the first of a series of donnybrooks played between Coaches Reb and Pitt.
    PREDICTION
In his first season, Coach Pitt leads his Panthers to either a 8-4 or 7-5 record and either third or fourth place in the division. Hyundia Sun Bowl at the top end, Military Bowl at the low end.
Good luck pitt4life21 Looking forward to years of epic ACC Coastal division battles!!!!!

11/17/12 at Vanderbilt * Nashville, Tenn. TBA
11/24/12 vs. Kentucky * Knoxville, Tenn. TBA

Quarterback Tyler Bray is back and he’s healthy, although wide receiver Justin Hunter still has to rehab through the spring, and the Vols hope to have a healthy offense capable of matching the production they had during the non-conference portion of their schedule prior to the injuries to Bray and Hunter. With Hunter and Da’Rick Rogers healthy on the outside, and JUCO star Cordarrelle Patterson scheduled to arrive in the fall, the Vols passing attack should be potent in 2012.

On the defensive front, the Tennessee Volunteers will have to replace Malik Jackson, an All-SEC defensive tackle with the versatility to move inside or out. Jackson’s ability to play any position on the defensive front would have made him a perfect addition to Sunseri’s 3-4, but the Vols will have to look elsewhere for the production.

    Diddy's take
Tennessee is returning 10 starters or so on offense. They have arguably the best quarterback in the SEC in Tyler Bray. If Justin Hunter returns to form look for a big year from the Vols offense. On defense Marsalis Teague has to be a shut down corner. Curt Maggit was made for the 3-4 he is a hybrid and I expect him to be the defensive MVP for the Vols.
I see the Vols going 8-4
Mark your garbage man orange and white calendars
    Florida
    [IMG]
Huge game vs. the Gators as always an early season litmus test for these teams. Will Florida's defense be able to hold off the Vol offense long enough to get a win???
    Georgia
    [IMG]
NFL QB Showdown. Bray vs. Murray oh Kiper Mcshay and Mayock will be all over this film.
    Alabama
    [IMG]
The only question is how bad will the Vols lose.
    South Carolina
    [IMG]
Last season saw two SEC stars in Justin Hunter and Marcus Lattimore go down with significant knee injuries, could this game be for the trip to Atlanta???

    FLORIDA GATORS 2012 TEAM PREVIEW
    [IMG]
Will Muschamp and the Mighty Gators are looking to lead an SEC East revival.
    Defense
The defense is there, led by a devastating front seven. They took a hit when Ronald Powell went down with a torn ACL but Sharrif Floyd, Omar Hunter, Dominique Easly and others look to anchor an aggressive D-Line. Jelani Jenkins and Jonathan "Mr. Boom" Bostic return after combining for 170 tackles at their LB spots. Matt Elam has one safety spot locked down while Josh Evans will probably get the initial starting nod over rising Sophomore De'Ante Saunders at the other safety position.
The only question marks about the defense is will they be great or elite. They have future NFL'ers at every level and possibly position, depth, and a coach known for his defensive prowess. This squad is a good bet for a top 10 rating if not top 5 by year's end.
    Offense
This is where is gets interesting. New coordinator, no set QB, workhorse HB, or go-to WR....but they are talented. If Tebow was Jesus, Jeff Driskel was supposed to be John the Baptist. But after completeing just 47% of his passes and getting banged up last season, Gator fans have tempered their expectations. Jacoby Briskett didn't come to Florida with as much fanfare (though highly-rated himself) but did bring his 46% completion percentage with him. Both are talented but one has to assume the role.
HB Mike Gillislee produced an impressive 5.9 YPC last season while stuck behind Rainey and Demps. Many Gator followers expect sophomore Mack Brown to eventually win the majority of the carries. A workhorse may not be as important as it sounds as neither will probably be asked to carry more than 15 times a game. Add to the fact that short yardage situations will likely be handled by bulldozing FB Hunter Joyer or X-factor Trey Burton from the Wildcat.
Burton could get a paragraph by himself but has not yet lived up to the do-anything threat. He runs, throws, catches and blocks, but does he do anything at an elite level? The TE's have a ton of talent in Burton, Reed, and some incoming freshman. The WR's are another glaring spot offensively. Florida did what they always have done, bring in elite talent, they just haven't developed yet. Junior Andre Debose looks to improve on his 16 receptions that went for an eye-popping 432 yards (27 YPC) and 4 TD's.
    Schedule
Look for the Gators to give Tex A&M a rude awakening into the SEC on Sept 8th. Florida's defense will be too good for an Aggie team breaking in a new offense and QB. Week 3 brings Florida to Tennessee. As in previous years, the loser is almost certainly eliminated from East contention. Weeks 6-9 brings good and bad news. The bad news is LSU, Georgia and South Carolina all come during this stretch. Good news is they all come to the Swamp.

    Clemson Tigers

The #14 Clemson Tigers head into 2012 with first year Head Coach Forever and high expectations. After starting off the season 8-0 in 2011, Clemson dropped 3 of its final 4 regular season games, staggering into the ACC Championship with little to no momentum. Despite the late struggles, Clemson was able to upset Virginia Tech and earn a BCS Bowl Bid (in which they were blown out by West Virginia in the Orange Bowl). With 14 starters returning this season (7 on both offense and defense), early expectations are high for the Clemson Tigers.

    [IMG] Offensive Strengths [IMG]
    [IMG] [IMG]
WR Sammy Watkins ------------- QB Tajh Boyd
There might not be a better collection of offensive skill players anywhere in the nation than at Clemson. The pass-catching lawfirm of Watkins, Hopkins, Bryant, Brown, Humphries and Peake is as deep a collection of wide receivers as there are in America. Couple that with TE Dwayne Allen (who is the best tight end in American according to the John Mackey Award voters), and quarterback Tajh Boyd has to be giddy with anticipation when he steps to the line and sees the weapons lined up next to him.
    [IMG] Defensive Strengths [IMG]
    [IMG] [IMG]
MLB Corico Hawkins ------------ FS Rashard Hall
Since both the linebackers and secondary offer plenty of depth, talent and potential, it is hard to decide on one specific area of strength. The safeties are outstanding and the linebacking corps is deep and has loads of upside. Not to mention Clemson's next big thing along the defensive line. 6-5, 280-pound DE Corey Crawford, a Da'Quan Bowers-like clone who put down the ground floor of a promising career in 2012. He and senior Malliciah Goodman will form a troublesoom bookend this fall.
    Games to Watch
    [IMG][IMG]
The Tigers will open the 2012 season in Atlanta as the second game in the Chick-fil-A College Kickoff. Clemson hosted Auburn last season, posting a 38-24 victory on Sept. 17. Last year’s win snapped a 14-game losing streak to Auburn.
    [IMG][IMG]
ACC Atlantic title game? Clemson and Florida State are the early favorites to claim the 2012 Atlantic Division and the Sept. 22 matchup will be huge for both teams. The Tigers’ revamped offensive line will face a huge challenge as it goes against Florida State’s defensive line. Clemson has not won in Tallahassee since 2006.
    [IMG][IMG]
The open date comes at a good time for Clemson. The Tigers are off on Oct. 13, one week before hosting Virginia Tech. Clemson easily handled the Hokies in two meetings last year, but this will be a key matchup as both teams try to stay alive in the national title picture.
    Season Prediction
    10-2
With a great offense and a lot of veterans returning on defense, the offense and defensive line will be the key to Clemson's success this fall. Coach Forever will have boys primed and ready, but the big three match ups are key to whether or not Clemson repeats as ACC Champs.

    Penn State Nittany Lions
    2012 TEAM PREVIEW
    [IMG]
In what was easily the most tumultuous year in Penn State Football history, the Lions still managed to contend with a loaded Wisconsin team in the Big Ten Leaders division only to fall just short in the last game of the season. 2012 is time for Penn State fans and the team to move on - so no recapping what everyone already knows. Time to move forward for the Lions.
This year's team only returns only 9 starters and will be undergoing massive scheme changes due to new coach Bill Obrien-Cimahosky. However, the defense is still one of the better units in the Big 10. Once again, "Linebacker U" delivers with 5 of their top 6 linebackers returning including preseason 1st team linebacker, Gerald Hodges. On offense, the big question is who will be the QB? We know they will be able to run the ball with Silas Redd, but ultimately, the success of the Lions season will depend on the play of either Bolden, Jones, or McGloin.
    [IMG]OFFENSIVE KEY PLAYER(S)[IMG]
    Silas Redd
    [IMG]
Redd will most likely be one of the Big Ten's best running backs in 2012. At 5-9 210 pounds he runs with decent power along with 4.45 speed and above average elusiveness. If the young offensive line comes together, he could be a 1st team big ten selection at the end of the season.
    [IMG]DEFENSIVE KEY PLAYER(S)[IMG]
    Gerald Hodges
    [IMG]
Hodges led the Penn State D with 106 tackles. The converted safety is a tremendous combination of speed and athleticism. He is also the unquestionable leader of the defense. I expect another first team B10 selection for this guy.
The big question for the Lions - Who starts at QB?
    1. Matt McGloin
    [IMG]
Honestly, the only highlight of McGloin I could find -
Last season, he completed only 54% of his passes for 1,571 yards. The Penn State passing game was ranked 96th in the country. However, in Obrien-Cimahosky's offensive system, you have to make quick decisions and accurate passes. Right now, McGloin does this better than Jones and Bolden.
    2. Paul Jones
    [IMG]
Easily the most talented of the Penn State quarterbacks. Even though McGloin was named the starter, I think Jones will have that distinction by the end of the season if he can stay academically eligible (something he didn't do in 2011). He has a cannon for a right arm and is fairly mobile. Think Donovan Mcnabb.....
    3. Rob Bolden
    [IMG]
    No thanks.
    [IMG]KEY GAMES[IMG]
    October 20th
    [IMG] @ [IMG]
A huge game for both teams. A game between Cimmy24 and H22APWRD94@ is always a battle. The Hawkeyes look to bounce back from last season's embarrassing 13-3 defeat in Happy Valley.
    October 27th
    [IMG] @ [IMG]
Always a classic battle between these two rivals. The higher ranked team has won 19 of the last 21 meetings. In SH 11, it was a National Championship matchup that was won 9-6 by the Buckeyes.
    [IMG]Season Prediction[IMG]
Once again, I see the Lions getting off to a really good start. Based off their early schedule, I see 6-0 going into Iowa week. Unfortunately, that is where I see it going downhill. I see loses to Iowa, @Nebraska, Ohio State at home and Wisconsin at home. Of course, if the Lions can get any sort of consistent QB play, this team could surprise. Nevertheless, with only 9 returning starters, a brand new offensive system and Matt McGloin as your starting qb, I still see 8-4 with a mid-level bowl invitation.

    BUCKEYES
    2012 Season Preview
    OSU's "Urban" Development Program
    [IMG]
The Ohio State University will be moving forward from the clouded Tressel era and the disappointing season under Uncle Luke with the hottest coaching free agent in recent memory. After what seemed a back and forth debate on where the Urb would land, Ohio State was given the reigns to this pony...better yet stallion.
Urban Meyer himself has quickly erased the Buckeye faithfuls minds of the last few seasons and he hasn't even recorded a single snap on the field. His success in Florida and Utah gives OSU confidence that he will lead the Buckeyes back to the top of the College Football ranks and Braxton Miller is his pawn.
    [IMG]~ Offensive Outlook ~[IMG]
The success that Braxton Miller finds in Urban Meyer's offense will dictate how successful the Ohio State offensive attack will be. If Miller can not orchestrate this new look offense, Ohio State will be at a disadvantage for every snap of the ball for the 2012 season. Although Buckeye Nation will be looking for immediate dominance for this unit, they should remain confident in knowing that #5 will have more than just this season to show his talents in Urban's scheme. Heisman hopeful? Likely not this year, but you can count on seeing his name in the race in the years to follow.
Tight End Jake Stoneburner will be a key asset to the Buckeye offense and to Braxton Miller's success alone. If the Senior TE can stay out of trouble and avoid season hindering consequences from past "mistakes", he could be Miller's #1 target and a redzone nightmare for opposing defenses. As an defensive coordinator for the Buckeyes opponent, what will you focus on to defend against with your backs to your own endzone? Braxton Miller in Urban's offense or the 6'5" Senior playmaker at TE? Tough call eh coach?
    xx Area's of Concern xx
The offense is without a real threat at WR and RB with the departure of guys like Posey and Herron, and the offensive line is dismantled. However, this is Ohio State and replacing the line should not be an issue. It may take a few games for the line and skill positions to gel and standout from mediocrity, but Urban will have his team figured out and making plays for the Buckeyes.
    [IMG]~ Defensive Outlook ~[IMG]
Young DE John Simon will be the defensive playmaker for the Buckeyes in the upcoming season. With 7 sacks last season, Simon has already warranted himself a spot in one of the Big Ten's feared defensive players. He will be a force to reckon with coming of the edge for the Buckeyes defense and a challenge for opposing offense's to deal with.
CB Bradley Roby will be an extremely important part of the success of this talented defense. After a breakout freshman year in which he intercepted 3 passes and was a nuisance for opposing wide receivers, the country saw that one of his strongest abilities was coming up big and making a clean tackle. How will the sophomore CB come out in his 2nd season? Avoiding the slump will only mean success for this defense and nightmares for the rest of the Big10.
    [IMG]~ 2012 Season Preview ~[IMG]
    KEY GAMES
    [IMG]
    Oct. 6 v Nebraska
Ohio State starts off the season with a pair of challenging games against Michigan St followed by Nebraska. How they come out of the game in East Lansing could determine a lot for the Buckeyes game against the Huskers and the rest of their B1G campaign. If they can finish this 2 game gauntlet at the start of the season on a positive note, it could mean big things for the remainder of the 2012 season.
    Oct. 27 @ Penn State
Scheduled for a 6 pm kickoff, this game will be huge for the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions alike. Both teams will be looking for their new identity in the rivalry as each team will show off new coaches and new schemes. Penn State went into Columbus and beat Ohio State, two years after OSU silenced the crowd in Beaver Stadium (2010 @ Columbus victory vacated by OSU). In recent history, neither home stadium has been an advantage for either team, but the Penn State faithful likely will be looking to end that run. Expect Beaver Stadium to be covered in white. ryty32 - You can count on that biyyyyotch
    [IMG]
    Nov 24 v Michigan
You can't talk about Ohio State's key games and NOT talk about The Game. Michigan and Ohio State will meet for the 109th time in the Horseshoe and the Buckeyes will be looking for revenge after Michigan ended the 7 game win streak for the Buckeyes (2010 game vacated) with a 40-34 victory in Ann Arbor.
The 2012 season will be a season of identifying a new era in Buckeye football. One that has the Buckeyes on post season ban (despite HackGolfer and his inability to make sure this happens :) ) Urban Meyer and his this new look Ohio State squad should not find much trouble keeping the games close, but will the offense be able to score points?
Predicition for the Buckeyes will be 9-3 with possibly an Alamo Bowl or Gator Bowl bid. Ohio State v Florida again?!?!?!? Urban Meyer's first test in a real college football conference will be exciting to see.
Still stick with my initial outlook of :doodie:

I had to do something...couldn't leave ryty hanging. It's a game, remember we have to steer away from the truth sometimes....and believe me, the entire time I typed that up, I laughed at the bullshit I was putting down...just glad I didn't have to do a Michigan or Iowa one too...that would just be absurd. It quite possibly could have single handedly shut down the entire site for posting such trash.

Yes, I meant leave. My excitedness overwhelmed me in the moment. My mistake.
