President Loftin Responds to NCAA sanctions

College Station, TX (AP) Today marks the start of the first NCAA sanctions against the Texas A&M Aggies for their failure to follow NCAA Directive O.8.0

President Loftin has come out with A&M's official statement on the issue.

"I have spoken with Coach Taylor about this issue and I firmly believe that no such thing will happen again during his tenure at A&M. I am very proud of our football team's hard work and our reputation of being world class leaders. Running up the score on lesser opponents not only embarrasses them but also the Aggie nation."

Texas A&M is now currently severing a 2 scholarship reduction for the coming year, allowing only 14 Scholarships to be awarded.
