After a dismal 0-2 start and heading into their bye week the Steelers announced some important changes today. The first is the trading of next years number one draft pick for SS D.Whitner from the Bills.Whitner will move to FS for the Steelers covering a weak spot after the black and gold lost free agent Eugene Wilson in week 1.The changes weren't done there...C.Campbell will now move to RE to be a big body stopping the run while youngster Jason Worilds will move into the starting lineup at LE and give the Steelers a pass rusher they sorely have missed.Ziggy Hood will move back to DT to be groomed to take over Casey Hampton's positon in the future.
Steeler head Coach Wilson said these changes were needed and you'll see the Steelers play different looking front sevens instead of staying in there base 3-4.He thinks teams know what to expect so he's going to mix it up and get more pressure on the opposing Qb.On the topic of the Qb position he was asked about Big Ben's struggles this year,0tds 9ints while youngster Dennis Dixon has been lighting it up.He responded that Ben is the face of this franchise and continues to have his support putting more blame towards his defence that has allowed teams to get off to a quick start therefore letting them key on the passing game.Look for the boys from Pitt to get back to basics and run the ball and play good defence to get back into the race in the AFC North.

So you trade Whitner one week after he picks me off twice? Thanks, Eddie.

Good luck, bud. Hope the moves work out.
