Those of you who made trades... ML players are in your DFA. If they were minor leaguers, they are placed somewhere in your system.

Am I missing something here or just getting some bad luck off the start? I come from playing High Heat leagues and this is my first OOTP league. Given the massive amount of depth and options in this game compared to High Heat I have tried to change as little as possible while learning the ropes.

Well for starters, you have to be patient. One reason I like 10 day sims instead of something faster. Your 3-5 hitters aren't hitting. When aviles leads your team in HR you have problems. You also aren't pitching well outside of Lester. And finally, your defensive efficiency is 10th, so youre not catching the ball.

Id wait at least until Mid-May before doing anything drastic..

Something I would check out would be the player strategy page. This way you can have Crawford and Ellsbury have higher SB attempts than the rest of the team. Its a good way to tailor your strategy to each player on your team.

I have no problem being patient, there are plenty of games to be played in a year. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some automated setting or something that needs to be toggled I might be overlooking that the vets of OOTP might know about :D

Thanks. I like how you can customize strategy for each player in OOTP. Bit overwhelming coming from a High Heat league to such fine tune-able control.

Unless Im really struggling with mediocre talent (like the Pirates!) I try to stay away from it. Just for my own sanity. I can micromanage crap for hours at a time... lol

I wonder what the record for 1 run losses is.. I think 6 or 7 of my 8 losses have been by 1 run.

Luckily Takashi Saito is ready to come off the DL. Guess I wasted all that time trying to figure out who I was going to drop. :D
