The reason I usually wait to show standings is because I try to avoid them untill I go 1x1 through each of my games.

Patterson leading the AL in RBI guess him hitting in front of Pamblanco gives him lots of chances at pitches. Hopefully they can keep it up.

    Congrats to Brock Holt!!

2000th Hit for Holt: It was a great day for Brock Holt of the Houston Astros -- but not a perfect day. He became the latest player to reach the 2000-hit mark, but his team lost the game. The 38-year-old shortstop got his hit in Houston's 11-4 loss to Chicago.

"It was a very special game for me, but not a good one for the team," said Holt after the game. Commenting on his achievement to reporters, he told them, "2000 hits are a lot. It puts you in a very select group. You have to hit well over a lot of seasons to do this. It's a good feeling to have your name in the record books with the other guys who have reached this level."

He finished the day with 2 hits in 4 at-bats.

His all-time numbers show Holt has compiled a .294 batting average and collected 2001 hits, 245 home runs and 1016 RBIs.

Is 2,000 hits a big deal? I don't follow baseball.

You just need better pitchers. Ive seen guys win in Colorado. You either need a lot of high K guys, or High movement and GB%. Id prefer the latter.

Looking at your pitching staff the problems I see are:

Your ace (Clark)- low control and over 5 BB/9 If youre going to give up HR, dont put men on base in front of them
#2 (Martin)- same problem. Nearly 6BB/9 hes got a great ground ball rate but your defense isnt getting to it.
#3 (Porter)- not as bad but still giving up nearly 5BB/9
#4 (Hunt)- not as bad control issues but he gives up too many FB and doesnt strike out enough for your park. 2.48 HR/9 is bad.
#5 (Powers)- no movement at all giving up 3.23 HR/9

Granted the DH is affecting it, but the pitchers you have in place are not a good fit for that stadium and the ones that are have no control. Thats the problem I see, but I could be wrong.
