    Site wide slider testing.

    Hi,

I spent a ton of time the last few weeks trying to come up with a good slider set for The Experience. The more we play with it them more dissatisifed I am with the
set I came up with. So, I found Silent Nature's AA set on OS and made three small modifications based on my experience testing.

    1) +10 CPU QBA
    2) Move speed threshold back to 50.
    3) -5 CPU RBA

Anyway, I know a bunch of leagues are still looking for a solid set, so if you would like to help me test these it would be appreciated. If you DO play a game,
please provide as much detail statistically as you can, as well as your general impressions.

There are really three key matchups I am concerned with:
    1) Even teams (A vs A, B vs B, etc)
    2) Mismatched teams where you are the powerhouse (A vs D, A vs C, B vs D, etc)
    3) Mismatched teams where you are the cupcake (D vs A, C vs A, etc.)

Click the 'Show' button below to see the sliders.

    Thanks,
    Shaun (the failed slider guy)

Sliders are my thing... I'll post mine up sometime... my first set is 0 player threshold... and how did you get the spoiler tag to work?

I appreciate the offer, but right now I just want feedback on THIS set of sliders.

As for the spoiler tag, I wrote a BBCode to do it. If you want to use it the syntax is:

[ spoiler = Preview Text ] Spoiled Text [ /spoiler ] just remove the spaces.

doesn't turning the threshold down basically negate the changes they've made in the game this year? same for turning off auto-sprint and strafe?

I actually used SNs sliders last night to test them out for our OD. I did not have the CPU accuracy at 40 like you do, but everything else was the same. I also only used 7 minute quarters.

I tried SNs sliders, I thought everything was actually pretty good. I think we should turn up the FG and punt accuracy a little bit. It is hard to hit extra points with the accuracy that low.

Perhaps FG accuracy for users at 30.

I played as Miami and the CPU was LSU

I would consider this your even teams test

Left side is Me right side is LSU
    Score: 26-17
    First Downs: 22-7
    Total Offense: 421-289
    Rushes-Yards-TD: 32-118-0----18-104-1
    Passing Yards: 303-185
    Turnovers: 1-0

Why speed threshold at 50? When it is at 50 I have linebackers catching wide receivers from behind in the open field, which is pretty unrealistic. I think 25 is a little much too, I have found the sweet spot is at 35.

In the R3AL M3N of G3NIUS, we started off with SN's V1.0 and have been tweaking them since. We had a bunch of guys try out his latest sliders and everyone disliked them. From the original set, the problems that I saw was the lack of user pass rush, and the kicking. Here is what we came up with. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

    Settings:
    Column 1 Column 2
    Difficulty All-American
    Quarter Length 7 Minutes
    Speed Threshold 50

    Column 1 Column 2 Column 3
    Sliders User CPU
    QB Accuracy 40 40
    Pass Blocking 40 50
    WR Catching 55 55
    RB Ability 50 50
    Run Blocking 30 80
    Pass Coverage 50 75
    Pass Rush 75 40
    Interceptions 20 35
    Rush Defense 40 70
    Tackling 55 65
    FG Power 35 35
    FG Accuracy 35 35
    P Power 35 35
    P Accuracy 35 35
    KO Power 35 35

From testing with my league (at 35) most people are of the opinion that having it lower than 50 makes HUM running backs get separation way too easily...we have averaged 6+ ypc.

What I noticed when Using AS Vs. Not Using AS, is that when you use it, the linemen don't shed their blocks like they do when you use hit the sprint trigger, so we don't use it.

I am testing everything you had except I forgot to change the speed threshold, mine is at 35, but everything else is the exact same. I am playing as San Diego St. at Oklahoma, so the dominant in the computer's favor. I will report back after the game.

I used the defuncted GG slider's and they worked real well with the game, i played Bama-penn st and the score was 27-13.

I know that GG is back. this was the old sliders from the old one that i was a part of.

The one thing I did not like was the amount of missed tackles. Landry Jones shrugged off a defensive end, a linebacker and then stiff armed my strong safety to run the ball for 20 yards and Demarco Murray was not coming down after the first or the second tackle even if it was a linebacker or d-lineman. He carried the ball 21 times for 242 yards (11.5 YPC).

    Here are the team stats.
User (left)-San Diego State CPU (right)- Oklahoma (At Oklahoma)
    Score: 21-45
    First Downs: 18-20
    Rushes-Yards-TD (21-82-2) (17-225-2)
    Passing Yards: 281-252
    Turnovers: 2-1 (all INTs)
    Total Yards: 506-644
    T.O.P: 18:06-15:41

Everything looks good except Murray going beast mode on you. You had threshold at 35 right? At 50 more people should get to the HB, so there *should* be more gang tackles. How was completion percentage?

Mine was right about 50% Jones was 18-23, which I thought was a bit high. Also these were broken tackles right up the middle, not him running up the sidelines, I don't think speed threshold would have done much. I would suggest perhaps turning the speed threshold up to 40, bringing tackling back to 50, and bringing the CPU QB accuracy down to 35 and then I think they would be damn good sliders.

I think you would be surprised. There are a ton of tackles missed in the middle of the field because the defender can't break down to tackle in time.

Yes but this was every play, not 3-5 times a game. I am talking about Murray shrugging the D-lineman off of him every time and most of the time shrugging a linebacker off immediately after shrugging the D-lineman off. I agree college football has missed tackles, but not on every running play. 11 YPC is ungodly even against a team like SDSU, 7-8 would be realistic, but not 11.

Perhaps the HB ability needs to come down to 55. I'll edit that in.
