We need to adjust the threshold, maybe to 40 or so. Not enough seperation between guys with great accell and poor accell

Does the speed threshold carry over to user games? I know slider sets go to default in user games but I wasn't sure if that was the case for the threshold. If it doesn't I would rather the speed be left the same, I don't want to play 2 completely different games for user and CPU games.

I played with sliders Shaun posted in experience (version 2.2) and the game played like it should. The matchup I played was a close game between 2 evenly matched teams, I was Rutgers and CPU was Arkansas.

Yes it does carry over to user vs user games because it is not a AI slider. It's a game option along side quarter lengths, game speed, difficulty ect.

    Gameplay Options
    Skill - All-American
    Fatigue - On
    Quarters - 8 min.
    Game Speed - Normal
Player min speed threshold - 40

    Game Rules
    Offsides - 100
    False Start - 100
    Holding - 50
    Facemask - 55
    Offensive Pass Int - 100
    Defensive Pass Int - 100
    KR / PR Interference - 100
    Clipping - 55
    Intentional Grounding - 100
    Roughing the Passer - 100
    Roughing the Kicker - 100

    Custom AI USER - CPU

    QB Accuracy : 50 - 50
    Pass Blocking : 50 - 50
    WR Catching : 45 - 45
    RB Ability : 50 - 55
    Run Blocking : 45 - 60
    Pass Coverage : 50 - 50
    Pass Rush : 65 - 60
    Interceptions : 25 - 25
    Rush Defense : 5 - 55
    Tackling : 35 - 55
    FG Power : 30 - 30
    FG Accuracy : 25 - 55
    Punt Power : 40 - 40
    Punt Accuracy : 25 - 55
    Kickoff Power : 55 - 55

I think I will knock down CPU blocking to 55 and user tackling up to at least 40. Too many broken tackles imo. I think the FG and Punt will be 40 with accuracy at 35.

Has anyone defended the run worth a damn with these sliders? I think the HUM Rush Defense needs to be upped and maybe the CPU Pass Coverage

I think running needs to be toned down in general or else we could be looking at some 3,000 yard seasons

I've done alright vs. the run. I agree with Frisk. That was one of the biggest problems with Madden last year in the online franchises. You'd get some of these stick jocks running for 3,500 yards and dumb stuff like that....If it starts going to way for the online dynasties they won't be worth playing.

I think I've given up around 100 to both starting HBs I've faced this year. I am kind of shading towards playing the pass vs the CPU though. I'd rather make them take 4 mins and drive the field then complete a pass, make a man miss and give them the easy TD.

I haven't done as well against the run as I'd like, but if we make the cpu sliders worse (or our defense better) we're only going to get more blowouts.

The Tennessee running back tore my defense up. Huge holes and he broke too many tackles. He had 200 yards with 150 of those after contact.

My problem is simply that in practice, I'm lucky to get a first down run with Ingram or Richardson. But Colorado had a running back go 100+ and Penn State's backup runningback got 88 yards on me and had a great average.

I've also found it nearly impossible to run inside because the sliders seemed to have been adjusted to stop the outside runs. When a defense is in 3-2-6 and I run a draw play, I should be able to get more than just 3 yards.

hmmm...I dunno man. I've gotta be averaging 5-6 ypc so far and that's running inside, outside, around, under, over, etc.

I'll know more after the Arkansas game. I might be just calling the wrong plays.

And if all else fails I'll swap to spread or Air Raid and just throw the ball but I hate to let Ingram and Richardson go to waste

I take it the CPU didn't have too many 4 minute drives vs. you in week 1 (80pts!).

I can't remember the stats off hand, but my week 1 game was actually pretty close in the 1st half. I won week 1 vs Arizona 35-14. I've scored 80 total points this year (35 week 1, 45 week 2), but I have played Arizona and Marshall. I'm not good at this years game yet, hopefully I'll be up to par by the time we play.
