Sloppy play buries Texas Tech Sloppy play, and a second quarter onslaught by Colorado, that featured 3 touchdowns in less than one minute, gives Texas Tech another embarrassing defeat at home 61 to 34. The Red Raiders dominated the first quarter, and were in the red zone to start the second when star RB Harrison Jeffers coughed up the ball. Colorado scored quickly on a 62 yard touchdown pass. The ensuing kickoff was fumbled and led to a second quick TD pass for the Buffaloes. When the Tech offense returned to the field, Sheffield's first pass was intercepted, and once again Colorado stuck it in the endzone. Texas Tech spent the rest of the game playing catch-up, but numerous mistakes dashed any hopes. Seven turnovers, countless dropped passes, missed interceptions and poor tackling sealed the deal. The Red Raiders go on the road to take on Baylor next week, before finishing the final three weeks of the season against ranked opponents. Good luck with that!
