I posted this Question in the HK section before... It must have been deleted because I can't find it now :(

Anyway, I'll open the question here I guess.

Which Game Speed do you guys preffer?
(if you haven't played online User vs User with both settings please don't vote)

I've also posted this same question over on Operation Sports. I figured it would be a good place to get a large sample of votes since they regularly have over 3,000 users per day on there...

I have not been surprised by the results over there, Overwhelmingly in Favor of Slow vs Normal 95 to 24 as of now...

    Cheers

I know you said only online users should vote.....

I don't play online so i didn't vote as you stated. But IMO Slow speed just seems to capture the animations and player weight/momentum much better during game play.

You can actually see when a DB or LB takes a false step in coverage and the momentum animation that shows them changing directions looks much more realistic as opposed to that change of direction animation on fast speed.

Slow... I'm old and have sausage fingers. Seriously, though, normal has an arcade feel to it for me. Of course, that opinion may change over the course of the year. For now, it is slow going for this old man.

    It certainly looks better.

My concern is that you have too much time to make decisions.

I played a game (Browns vs Raiders) on slow the night before last and completed 75% of my passes with Weeden.

Normal is slightly too fast and you get ridiculous sack numbers. Slow is slightly too slow and you complete passes way too often. Gah.

I like slow better still. So, slow but bump pass rushing.

Normal works much better if we are talking about User vs User matches because it accounts for the lag that you feel online whereas I would say slow for offline would be a much better idea.

Slow plays too slow to me. Like Shaun said, too much time to make decisions making it easier. Normal isn't necessarily more realistic, but its not as drudging as slow either. I'd be in favor of a setting in between normal and slow.

You should consider dropping the QBA slider down

5 is actually a pretty good setting use your pass block at 15 and set the CPU pass rush to 40 or 45 it cuts down on your down time in the pocket without making it seem unrealistic

Consider I am talking about 32 users in a league, so no CPU.

    Does this still apply?

While I've only played three games online, all with slow, and really enjoyed the 'pace' of the game, Normal Speed for a user matchup online sounds like it'd be nice. I'll try and test it out here in the next few days if given the time.

my bad for league play i'd say most of the USER controlled QB's online should be able to function between QBA at 10-20.

Anything above 25 IMO is way too easy to complete passes and nothing is ever off target. I tend to think from looking at the QB ratings this year EA goes over aboard with way too many guys on the rosters with 80+ accuarcy rating and it makes it too easy for the Human.

Last years ratings dictated QBA at 20 (sliders) was a sweet spot as the overall avg accuarcy (rating) in Madden 12 for all QB's was 78..
