soft commits without a scholarship offered?

Ok in TF4 I am Auburn I am going after a :4stars: DT that I have had on my board since day 1. We are in week 14 I was #1 on his list weeks 1-7 we were the only team to offer him. In about week 8 VT jumped me for his #1 school. We both reached 100% on him in week 10 he is a soft verbal to VT and has been since. I have put 1hr into him for the last 4 weeks to no avail. 1. is this a waist of time spending it on him and 2. when or will he decide that VT is not going to offer him and then choose me or is he going to hold out till the off season. VT is a User team by the way and still has not offered him.

I have seen it before where if you hold out until the end and the school he has number 1 never offers he will ultimately sign with his number 2. Now I have also seen it where the guy STILL chooses that school with NO OFFER and I assume walks on there. It's pretty ridiculous as in real life no highly rated prospect will turn down a full ride to a big time school to walk on at another big time school.

Bitter Bayou Bengals. Look I hate Auburn and I hate Georgia(since I'm from GA) and I don't care for LSU, Tennessee, or Ole Miss but by God if they offered me a full ride to play football and Bama didn't you can bet your sweet ass I would go there and tear it up. Bama has regretted such decisions in their time like not offering Phillip Rivers to play QB. Also Cadillac Williams grew up a Bama fan but went to Auburn because Bama was on probation. Same deal with Jamarcus Russel to LSU. It happens.

He wanted to go back to college and the LSU job wasn't open, how is that hard to understand? He had no loyalty to LSU. He went where the opening and the money is. Now he has a great thing at Bama and he is happy there. Sorry. :p

Also there are a couple guys on Bama's roster that ended up there because LSU spurned the early in the process but Bama had faith in their ability to get their grades where the needed to be. And if you don't know their names you will VERY soon, Darrington Sentimore and Eddie Lacy.

Feel free to NOT read them then.

You're right if I was in the Air Force I would sit in the FOB in my air conditioned room and let the infantry do all the work.

Ha. Sounds like a typical Air Force excuse. Don't you have a chow hall to guard or something?

Alright I'll give you that much you guys do a little more than the rest of the Air Force. And I love my air conditioning too, I just don't get to enjoy it as much as I'd like so my jealousy comes out.

And your insightful post made it so much better... :bangnana:
