In what is suppose to be Demarco's year started out on a bad note, He had 4 rushes this game and the fourth rush put him out for the game with a back injury. He ran for 48 yards on those 4 carries.

as seen here his replacement Chris Brown ran the ball very well for them averaging over 5 yards a carry against a tough byu team. In the Game of the Week Chris Brown ran for 149yds on 28 carries and had 3tds. Starting qb Jones had a decent game going 12-24-269 2tds 1 int. The int was returned by the byu defense for a td.
The game was close at the end of the 1st quarter 14-10. Oklahoma took and dominated from there on out scoring 24 unanswered points 17 coming in the second quarter and Okla won 38-17. Up next is the Bowden less Flordia st. Going to be a tough game at their place but Oklahoma is looking forward to the game

Now this week was Oklahoma football at its best. The defense allowed 178 yards total and Flordia St didnt get first down till right before the half ended when they got their only field goal. Demarco murray ended up with over 130 yds rushing and 2 tds.

Demarco Murray is back in form for the sooners. Demarco had a huge day in what was an ugly game. Broyles took the opening kickoff for a touchdown. Oklahoma would score 21 unanswered points to start the game. But tulsa hit a 48 yd td pass and then intercepted Jones to return that for a td to make it 21-14. Thats when Demarco took over. He had a 52,80,1 yd td runs to end the half with the score being 42-14. Oklahoma would score a fg in the second half and thats all the scoring done as the second team just ran out the clock.

    Tulsa 194yds offense
    Oklahoma 554 yds offense

    Player of the Game

    Demarco Muuray
    21 carries 349yds 4td

That was the look on everyones face that was rooting for the Hawkeyes on Saturday. Iowa coach summed it up best as he said " That was the most embarrassing game i have ever been apart of. Thankfully they gave us mercy and pulled their starters and ran out the clock. I dont know what to really say after a game like this but we have alot to work on.

Oklahoma coach said he was very proud of his team as they played their first complete game offensively and defensively. We controlled every aspect of this game. Wish it wasnt as ugly but we needed a great game since next week we start the Big 12 season and Baylor. We arent going to take Baylor lightly they hired a wonderful coach in H22 and we know that they can definately beat us on any given day.

Now the stats for this game are just WOW.

    Iowa 104 yards total offense
    Oklahoma 551 yds total offense

    Oklahoma 41 rushes 409yds 7td
    Iowa 24 rushes 63yds

    Oklahoma 8-9 142 yds 1 td passing
    Iowa 8-13 41 yds 2 INT

Oklahoma played 3 hb this game and all three had over 100 yards as iowa couldnt stop anything at all

    Demarco Murray 16 rushes 162 yds 4tds
    Brown 5 rushes 111uds 1 td including a 73 td run
    Calhoun 17 rushes 162yds 2tds

Game was 42-0 at halftime and starters were takin out with 3:37 to go in second quarter. Up 35-0.

Final Score Oklahoma 56 Iowa 0

Oklahoma's defense comes up huge against Baylor this week. It was a very hard fought game on both sides. Key turnovers cost Baylor and no were bigger than the fumble. It was a very very huge run but Baylor fumbled and Oklahoma recovered. Oklahoma scored on a final drive that took alot of the 4th quarter to seal it with Browns 3rd td run as Murrary was hurt for the game again :(. 27-17 was final score

    Great Game H22
