Backfield (QB, RB) Robert Griffin Qb last season threw for 2962yds and 20td also ran for 650yds and 4td. He comes into this season as a Junior and the Bears have high hopes of him. Senior RB Terrance Ganaway only ran for 203yds last season and is looking to get more touches this year under a new coaching staff

Receivers/TE Junior Wr Lanear Sampson lead the team with 48 receptions only had 563yds and 4td. Senior WR Kendall Wright lead the team with 667yds and 6ts is looking to be a huge impact this season. Te is played by Jerod Monk who is used mainly for blocking as he only had 4 receptions last year

OLine Rg John Jones senior year this year last year he had 21 pancakes and at 310lbs pretty sure he went heavy on the Syrup. Senior C Phillip Blake had 19 and ate more syrup as he comes in at 315lbs. Rt is lead by Ivory Wade who also had 19 but used less syrup and comes in at 295lbs

DLine Le Gary mason led the team in Solo tackles with 27 but never got to the qb so hopefully he can get a couple this season. Tracy Robertson led the team in Sacks with 2 at the DT position and we are hoping to grab a few more sacks this season

Linebackers Lolb Elliott Coffey led team in total tackles with 64 and had 8 TFL he grabbed 2 INts and looks to lead this team to a bowl game this season

Secondary Secondary didnt do much last season and is led my Sophmore SS Kent who had 33 tackles and 2 INTs

Specialists Nothing really good for specialist this season

Top 3 incoming freshmen or juco's not much talent coming in as cpu did all recruiting but maybe WR Tony Whitehead, Hb Louis Coles, and ATH Brandon Cabral

Backfield: The QB position is gonna be a heated battle between Ju Ju Clayton and Logan Thomas. Thomas saw alot of game action last year in place of often injured Tyrod Taylor. Still, we were not impressed enough to give him over the keys without having a look at Ju Ju. As usual, Va Tech is stacked at RB but the coaches were disappointed with last season's production. Ryan Williams spent more time on the trainer's table than the field and stiff breezes were registering tackles on Darren Evans. True freshman Patrick Poole looks to get some carries if they falter again. FB is in good hands with senior Oglesby.

WR/TE: a veteran group returns with 3 seniors and 3 juniors. The seniors (Boykin, Coale, Roberts) will have probably begin the season at 90+ ratings. Boykin is the big target, Coale the steady and sure handed threat, and Roberts plays the role of slot man that can beat you deep or get underneath the coverage. TE will be a work in progress with sophomores Martin and Lewis getting there first taste on extensive game time.

OL: look for Va Tech to get the majority of it's rushing yardage going right. Senior RG Brooks and senior RT DeChristopher are road graters. The left side and center position are solid reliable upperclassman. Overall, 3 seniors and 2 juniors will form a very experienced and disciplined unit.

DL: for now, 2 true freshman hold down the starting LE and RE jobs. :4stars: Kyle Whitaker and :5stars: Dave Jones are your leaders before training camp. With only 1 senior and 0 juniors, the end position is the least experienced on the team. At DT...who knows. 1 Senior and 3 juniors are all grouped together talent wise and training camp will determine the pecking order.

LB: Barquell Rivers has cemented himself as the starting ROLB and Lyndell Gibson has done the same at MLB. Chase Williams will play the other MLB in 3-4 packages. LOLB is down to juniors Bruce Taylor and Jeron Gouveia-Winslow. Another starting position on hold till training camp.

CB: senior Cris Hill and junior Jayron Hosley have separated themselves from the pack and will be the Hokies game 1 starters. Jacob Sykes will come in as the Nickelback and Jerrodd Williams as the dime back.

S: :4stars: FS recruit Brian Boone has been moved to SS and looks to have the position on lockdown. Eddie Whitley is a solid player who decided to come back for his senior year and anchor the secondary at his FS position.

Specialists: K and KOS is in good hands with senior Justin Myer while the P position will be taken over by true freshman Adam Graham.

Top 3 incoming freshman: SS Brain Boone will be a day 1 starter and RE Dave Smith will either start or get valuable minutes. If Darren Evans doesn't step up his play, look for Poole to be Ryan Williams primary backup.

    Offensive playbook: Indiana
    Defensive Playbook: Multiple

Conf OPOY: Ryan Williams, HB, Va Tech
Conf DPOY: Marvin Austin, DT, UNC
    SOCOM COY: NDColts, Baylor

Backfield (QB, RB) - Senior QB Jordan Jefferson, Senior HB Stevan Ridley

Receivers/TE - Junior RB Rueben Randle, Junior WR Russell Shepard, Junior WR Chris Tolliver, and Freshman WR Jarrett Fobbs lead a talented receiving corps. Talent senior TEs Deangelo Peterson and Mitch Joseph will be missed.

OLine - Led by Junior C Patrick Lonergan. The line is STRONG and full of big, pass-blocking vets.

DLine - Speedy right end Sam Montgomery leads a fearsome front.

Linebackers - True freshman Stephen Kimbrough gets the call at MLB.

Secondary - LSU is LOADED at CB. Patrick Peterson is a true shut down corner who can lay some heat, and he's paired up with Morris Claiborne.

Specialists - Patrick Peterson will be returning kicks this year.

Top 3 incoming freshmen or juco's: MLB Stephen Kimbrough, RE Edward Jefferson, redshirting QB Darryl Douglas

    offensive playbook: Alabama

    defensive playbook: Multiple D

    Your confernece preseason -

offensive player of the year: Jordan Jefferson, LSU If he stays healthy, he will throw for 6,000 yards this year. That's a guarantee.

defensive player of the year: Nico Johnson, Bama.

coach of the year for SOCOM: Coach Battle, LSU.

Backfield (QB, RB) - QB Bryn Renner, HB Giovani Benard

Receivers/TE - WR Erik Highsmight, WR Jheranie Boyd, WR Dwight Jones. TE Mike Mayo

OLine - Led by C Jonathan Cooper

DLine - RE Quinton Coples and DT Tydreke Powell spearheads the powerfront

Linebackers - MLB Kevin Reddick calling the shots

Secondary - Mywan Jackson and LeCount Fantroy are veterans at the CB position

Specialists - K Casey Barth is automatic even from 50 yards out

Top 3 incoming freshmen or juco's: TE Mike Mayo and HB Gioviani Bernard are the starters. Expect big things out of these two.

    offensive playbook: UNC

    defensive playbook: 4-3

    Your conference preseason -

offensive player of the year: QB Bryn Renner, UNC. As a true freshman, he shattered every UNC passing record it seems while leading the Tar Heels to a 12-1 record. Expect bigger and better things from him this year.

defensive player of the year: CB Patrick Patterson, LSU

coach of the year for SOCOM: Onaradio, Virginia Tech

Answer these questions or give insight on all for Media Days year 2

    Scouting report on your team

    Backfield (QB, RB)

John Brantley returns for his senior year and will handle the passing game mainly. Trey Burton and Freshmen Ken singletary will battle for the second string qb job and will be asked to run the option game. Jeff Demps is back and is the speed back. Mike Gillislee and Mack Brown will be asked to run between the tackles and move chains.

    Receivers/TE

Should be the strength of the team. There is no lack of speed in this group. Deonte Thompson, Chris Rainey, Andre Debose, Chris Dunkley and Omarius Hines are the top 5. At TE Gerald Christian, Jordan Reed, and Desmond Parks will handle the duties.

    OLine

David Young and Xavier Nixon will start at tackle, Mclelland the true freshman will start at guard along with senior James Wilson. The man in the middle will be Sam Robey. The 2 two deep is young and inexpereinced

    DLine

Ronald Powell is a :5stars: player who will see a lot of action at DE along with :5stars: Chris Martin and William Green. Jaye Howard and Omar Hunter are back at DT and look to lead a young talented rotation ( Easley, Floyd, Orr).

    Linebackers

JOn Bostic, Jelani jenkins, and Dee Finley (former safety) will round out the top 3 LB spots. True freshman Lavelle Williams will see the field as well.

    Secondary

Janoris Jenkins and Jeremy Brown come back to start at safety and are expected to make more plays. Will Hill and Matt Elam will get the start at safety and Juco transfer Xavier Rivera will contend for action.

    Specialists

Caleb Sturgis will kick and punt. Debose, Rainey, Demps and Dunkley will rotate return responsibilities.

Top 3 incoming freshmen or juco's Ken Singletary QB, Clint Weaver HB, Lavelle Williams OLB

Backfield (QB, RB): Senior quarterback Matt Simms looks to improve over last year's 5-7 campaign. Under Reign the QB shined but with his head coach on the sideline the QB struggled. With David Oku redshirting due to an overcrowded backfield senior tailback Tauren Poole looks to crack 1000 yards this season after tallying 810 yards a season ago.

Receivers/TE: The 'Roger' duo look to spearhead Tennessee's decent looking passing attack this year. Sophomore DaRick Rogers and junior Zach Rogers look to improve upon their combined 45 receptions and 927 yards receiving last season. Both receivers look to keep defenses honest and off of their QBs back.

OLine: A young line led by senior center Cody Pope (88 overall) looks to surprise a couple of folks this year as the Tennessee offense is designed to allow these guys to get out front and knock some guys on their tails.

DLine: A very experienced line looks poised to dominate opponent's offensive lines as the lowest rated player is Junior RE Willie Bohannon. The junior has already promised to not be the weakest link and if he succeeds on that promise I don't expect a runner to cross the century mark all season.

Linebackers: With no 'star' power in this section of the Tennessee defense, they will lean heavily on junior ROLB Greg King for leadership. King registered 52 tackles a season ago and looks to add taking advantage of the big hog mollies up front.

Secondary: If a team throws successfully against the Vols' secondary this season they would have earned it. The Vols have speed throughout the secondary and each member can hold their own. Led by junior FS Janzen Jackson look for the Vols' to frustrate many passing attacks this season.

    Specialists: None

Top 3 incoming freshmen or juco's: Redshirted. Can't see who they were, my bad.

    offensve playbook: Tennessee

    defensive playbook: 4-3

Your confernece preseason: First in the SEC East

offensive player of the year: Robert Griffin, Baylor

defensive player of the year: Matt Elam, Florida... how many benchwarmers you know make the preseason All American team?

coach of the year for SOCOM: JerzeyReign, Tennessee... I plan on improving alot over that 5-7 year
