Ok guys, I have created the online spring league. Dont be alarmed if you have been put in the AL as division alignment has not yet been set in stone. We are still deciding on if we want to have some computer teams to keep the divisions as close to real life as possible. Invites have been set out so please accept them in a timely manner so we can start testing out how the online league works. If you have any questions just ask

thx Rob. invite accepted. i'm fine with cpu teams if it helps things from a mgmt standpoint. i'll still stink regardless of whether or not my opponent is human or cpu. ;)

I'll accept this evening unless I'm arrested for beating the shit out of this loan officer who is being an ass and refuses to call me back about the car I'm attempting to buy. I f****** hate credit unions.

The more I look at the divisions and how lopsided they are, the more I feel we should scrambled them. Why not mix them up completely and try to make it interesting. Were clearly not going to have an even amount of owners in the AL/NL and it looks like we're not going to run with 30 squads. If you were looking to keep it authentic, I think we threw that out the window a while ago. That and we only have 4 divisions.

Lets just mix it up. I wouldn't mind being in a division with some NL teams.

    If your g
If your going to do this I think you need to put the DH rule into effect for the whole league. Or just get some more teams, i dont think a few more to even it out would hurt at all. I know Ralf wants in ;)

We would need a much more expanded waitlist if we are going to pull that one off...

Im active at theshownation today, seeing if we can expand our waitlist and get some quality guys over here. At the moment, I don't feel comfortable expanding to 24. Maybe that could change.

Ya I feel you. I would wait to expand just because it's almost a certainty a few guys will drop off within the first few weeks. Once we get a solid 20 guys that we know will continue to be active, that's when we should start expanding

Whats the difference? 4 less AL teams? Theres still some good teams left out there. Even if u got 2 more AL teams it woud even out concidering the NL is bigger anyways. Still a couple decent teams like TB and either TOR or maybe CLE

Well, we've already lost a few and I'm willing to bet we have one more owner turnover before we kick off next week. I think it's inevitable.

Not sure if you noticed, but Baltimore has one hell of a lineup.

    Brian Roberts
    Adam (Not Pacman) Jones
    Nick Markakis
    Vladimir Guererro
    Derrek Lee
    Mark Reynolds
    Nolan Reimold
    Matt Wieters
    JJ Hardy

    Shit.

    22 is not an option.

    It's 20 or 24.

I'm still a fan of keeping certain teams in the same divison to keep team rivalries intact. It just wouldnt seem right to break up the Mets,Marlins,Braves,Phillies as well as breaking up the Cubs,Cardinals,Brewers. The other option we have is make 4 teams computer controlled to make everything balance out.

Why not just create 4 AL teams with similar overall rank that are CPU controlled and make sure that each team plays the same # of games against a CPU controlled team? If a CPU team wins the division, then it is what it is.

Pepper is obviously biased towards keeping his division in one piece. ;)

I would feel the same way if I were the Rays. I'd want to keep the Rays, Red Sox and Yankees in the same division just like keeping the Twins,Tigers, and Whitesox together. Baseball is all about TRADITION

Given there really isn't much consistency though with gaps being left in every division but yours, it's hard to even try to uphold that tradition considering many rivalries will not exist in TBL. I would feel much differently if all 30 teams were filled out.

    We can agree to disagree.
