Stanford dominated the game with 419 yards of total offense to San Jose State's 112. Stanford's three running backs combined for 276 yards on 30 rushes with all 3 rushing touchdowns coming from starter Stepfan Taylor. FS Michael Thomas, CB Johnson Bademosi, and SS Ed Reynolds all had an interception and returned it for a touchdown.

Heisman candidate Andrew Luck had a short, but effective day. Luck completed 10 of 11 passes for 143 yards and 2 touchdowns before being pulled at the start of the fourth quarter. Defensive Tackle Terrence Stephens also had a big game recording 1.5 sacks and 3 tackles for loss.

Stanford hits the road next week for what is sure to be a battle with Russell Wilson and the Wisconsin Badgers.
