    Stanford repeats as BCS Champ

    #2 Stanford 42
    #1 Colorado 35 OT

Great game, turnovers were the story of this game. Freshman phenom Amir Anderson threw 2 interceptions, both inside the Cardinal 10 yardline and TE Ryan Deehan fumbled in the 3rd quarter after a big gain. The Cardinal played mistake free football and efficiently controlled the clock, led by QB Josh Nunes who threw for 275 yards. The Buffs qb Anderson was spectacular, save for the two red zone interceptions. Anderson threw for 496 yards and 3 scores. The Buffs were almost completely shut out on the ground, HBs Holman and Woodard, spliting carries almost evenly, each had about 40 hard earned yards. The 4-2-5 was stout. The Buffs can hold their heads up high, finishing with back to back Big 12 titles and 13-1 for the second consecutive season.

Was just about to post the result. The Cardinal were outplayed and outcoached in this game but the presence of a true freshman at QB for Colorado proved too big of of an obstacle to overcome. The two interceptions in the redzone were critical, as was a fumble caused by the Cardinal defense which was returned for a TD. Without those turnovers, Colorado wins by 10 (at least). Stanford headed into the season supposedly in rebuilding mode after losing Andrew Luck but repeat as National Champs. Next year the team should be even better on paper but will have a HUGE bullseye on its back. Im guessing we will have a different champion next season.
