    Colorado Buffaloes
Boulder, CO. - CU's Athletic Director announced in an emergency press conference this morning, that HC Jon Embree has been fired after CU's worst ever season, finishing 1-11. This news comes as no shock to the CU faithful, as rumors have been flying for months about the coach's fate. Embree finishes his career at Colorado with a pathetic 4-21 record, that should be stricken from the CU history books. The question on everyone's mind all season was, "Who will replace him?"
Enter Coach Anthony Hernandez. Coach Hernandez has quite the coaching resume in football, particularly in the NFL. He has seen great success at the pro level and hopefully can bring that to the collegiate ranks.
"I have been privileged enough to see great things in my time in the NFL. I coached great players like: Larry Fitzgerald, Ron Dunson, Antonio Gates, Chris Johnson, and Darelle Revis. Hopefully that experience can help me bring the best out of these kids here at Colorado. I was a winner in the NFL, and I am going to be a winner here, too."
Coach Hernandez, coached 3 NFL teams in Rookie Symposium. Reaching the playoffs 6 years in a row, including 2 Conference Championship games and the Super Bowl.
Many coaches have the step down from the NFL to see good success, one coach in particular is Nick Saban. Colorado is hoping that they have struck similar gold with this Coaching change.
    Season Outlook:
The Buffaloes have a tough season in ront of them. With games against Oregon, USC, UCLA, and Oregon State on the schedule, they are facing all the power teams of the PAC-12. They open the season, of course, with the Rocky Mountain Showdown. If coach Hernandez can dominate CSU in the opener, that will leave everyone breathing a little easier, regardless of how the rest of the season goes.
    Prediction:
Colorado will finish around 6-6 and become bowl-eligible for the first time since 2007.

The Vols will run a Spread attack Offense, With Freshman QB Nathan Peterman getting the start, and Senior HB Rajion Neal starting in the backfield, Junior Vincent Dallas and Freshman Pig Howard will be the Starting WR's.

    Kentucky Wildcats
BREAKING NEWS - Due to the Kentucky Wildcats impressive recruiting leading up to the 2013-2014 season, expected coach Mark Stoops has been promoted to the role of Advanced Scouting Director. Taking his place will be rookie coach Joshua Botelho. The choice of coach is an interesting one due to the lack of experience but if you take a closer look, it is one that may make sense. The star of the recruiting class for Kentucky was 4 star Defensive End Jason Hatcher. Who surprisingly jumped ship and decommited from USC to sign with UK. Many were shocked and surprised, but maybe this was the result of some behind the scenes work. Botelho was the head coach of Hatcher's high school; Trinity High School and he now finds himself behind the reigns of a struggling team.
Kentucky went only 2-10 last year under the lead of Joker Phillips, who was fired last year. They are in the powerhouse conference of the SEC and have not had a winning record in conference games since 1992. Can Botelho be the one to right the Wildcats ship? The defense-first coach will run a 4-3 defence and a quick hitting air raid offence, claiming that he wants to make greater use of misdirection and variety. This Kentucky defence has the talent to earn respect in the SEC, but will it be enough to earn a bowl appearance?

When I was creating schedules, I notice you have a hell of a tough conference schedule. You play all the big names in the SEC.

You even had the Oregon Ducks on your schedule, but I removed them to throw another user game in there. At one point, you had like 7 of your 12 opponents in the Top 25, lol.

    "The U-Turn of 2013"
First year coach Eric Curtoys has big expectations over the next few years with what he calls the young guns of the PAC-12. The big question on CAL fans' minds were simply who will be our starting Quarterback. Coach Curtoys responded to all the fans that the starting job will be given to Redshirted Freshman Zach Kline, listed as 6'2", 210 lbs. This will not mean fellow Quarterbacks Austin Hinder and Kyle Boehm won't also see action in games as Coach Curtoys describes this as an open competition throughout the year.
Under the Running Backs squads, Offensive Coordinator Clay Helton has confirmed the Half Back position will be committing to a multiple back threat with 3 HBs getting action this season. "The thing I like about our Running Backs squad is that all 3 are all fighters for extra yardage, and that will be big for us this season." The team of HBs will consist of Senior Brendan Bigelow (5'10", 185 lbs), and Redshirted Sophomores Daniel Lasco (6'1", 200 lbs) and Darren Ervin (5'10", 195 lbs). The Golden Bears will look for crucial blocking by Fullback Lucas Gingold, who will be playing his last season. Being in an underlooked position, we will see if he can surprise many in the conference.
The focus on Wide Receivers for the Golden Bears is part of the young squad. The Golden Bears 4 main receivers are all Sophomores. The squad consist of Bryce Treggs (5'11", 175 lbs), Chris Harper (6'0", 165 lbs), Maurice Harris (6'3", 205 lbs), and Darius Powe (6'3", 210 lbs). Bryce Treggs and Chris Harper are both playmaking WR on the field, and they are looked to be the future of the program. Harris will be the third guy on the line that will put an option out there.
Tight End position is something the Golden Bears are trying to implement into there playbook. Junior Richard Rodgers and Senior Spencer Hagan will be potential targets, and they will test how well CAL can run their offense.
The one thing that's great about the starting Offensive Line at CAL: 0% Seniors. In fact, there are only 1 Senior and 2 Juniors in the program. They will be hitting the weight room hard throughout the next few years, and we could be seeing a potential BCS Bowl caliber Offensive Line by 2015.
We turn into our Defensive Line and we got a great group of guys that are trying to make these next two years a lot better than last years. Senior DeAndre Coleman and Junior Mustafa Jalil will be taking the Defensive End spots, while Juniors Viliami Moala and Gabe King will take Defensive Tackle while Sophomore Marcus Manley will get some time in also.
Our pool of Linebackers are our key towards success. Our starting Outside Linebackers will be Senior Dan Camporeale and Junior Chris McClain, while Juniors Nick Forbes and Khairi Fortt will play Middle Linebacker.
Our Defensive Backs will consist of Sophomore Stefan McClure, Junior Kameron Jackson, and Freshman Cedric Dozier at Cornerback, and our Safeties will be Juniors Avery Sebastian and Michael Lowe.
Finally our Kicker will be Senior Vincent D'Amato and our Punter will be Sophomore Cole Leininger.
Change is needed for the Bears, coming off an ugly 3-9 record (2-7 in the PAC 12). It's up to Coach Curtoys to drive his team back to being a Bowl Eligible team. "It's time this program made their U-Turn, and become one of the best in the PAC-12 again."

    Fayetville, Arkansas-

Arkansas has announced the hiring of a young coach, Lance Stone, to bring them back to the glory days of Razorback football. "I'm very excited for this opportunity, I have high expectations for myself and this team". "We are coming into the first year and we expect a National Championship", Stone said.

The Razorbacks will be led on offense by Sophomore running back Jonathon Williams. He has good mix of speed and power and will be called on to the carry the load for the offense.

The Arkansas defense looks to be strongest it has been in many years. The DL is loaded this season, led by Senior DT Bryan Jones. Jones commands a double team and is an absolute monster. The Secondary is another strong point of this unit led by CB Tevin Washington and Safety Eric Bennett.

It's no secret the Razorback defense will be called on early while the young offense gels together. With an efficient offense, Arkansas has a chance to sneak up on some teams this season!

Every dog has it's day. Well MSU faithful are hoping it's time for their Dawgs to finally have a bite to match their bark.

MSU has officially announced the hiring of new HC Scott Rouse. Rouse will no doubt rely heavily on senior impact players and leaders of the team in QB Tyler Russell and RB Ladarius Perkins. The offense will have to make plays to help an inexperienced defense lacking impact playmakers. The strength of the defense will have to be the group up front. If those guys can control the los and get pressure it will surely help a suspect LB corp and secondary.

It will be an uphill battle for sure for these Dogs in the always dominant SEC.

    images (2).jpg

Senior signal caller Tyler Russell is the unquestioned leader and QB going into the season. Dog fans expect big things from him in his final season.

All American senior tailback Ladarius Perkins returns for his senior season in hopes of carrying the Dogs to a bowl game appearance before taking his talents to the next level.

Atlanta, GA-- The Conference commissioner's of the Pac-12 and the SEC have reached an agreement late this afternoon. The 2 Conferences will host several neutral-site games on opening day of the season. In what is being nick-named the "Saturday Showdown", 5 teams from each conference will face off against each other. Whether this is for bragging rights, or exposure, or purely financial gain, the motive is still unclear. What is known, is that this will be a treat for all college fans.
"This sort of thing happens all the time in college basketball. The Maui Invitational, Coaches vs. Cancer, etc. There are plenty of marquee match-ups early on in the basketball season. So we figured why not bring a bit of that to football. This is a great opportunity for under the radar teams to get some national exposure. Like Washington State, Ole Miss, Colorado, Kentucky, those schools are never getting any attention. Now we are doing something to change that." Commissioner RRAHx2 said in the announcement press conference.
There will be games held in 4 NFL Stadiums around the country and one in the Cotton Bowl. These are all great venues in great markets, and are sure to be sell-outs. While none of the "power programs" from either conference chose to participate, there are still some very good games to watch. The schedule will be as follows:

    Game 1:
[IMG] Washington State Cougars vs Arkansas Razorbacks [IMG]
Venue: EverBank Field - Jacksonville, FL
    Game 2:
[IMG] Washington Huskies vs Kentucky Wildcats [IMG]
Venue: Soldier Field - Chicago, IL
    Game 3:
[IMG] Colorado Buffaloes vs Tennessee Volunteers [IMG]
Venue: Cowboys Stadium - Arlington, TX
    Game 4:
[IMG] Cal Golden Bears vs Mississippi State Bulldogs [IMG]
Venue: Cotton Bowl - Dallas, TX
    Game 5:
[IMG] Arizona State Sun Devils vs Missouri Tigers [IMG]
Mile High Stadium - Denver, CO
    Game 6*:
[IMG] UCLA Bruins vs Ole Miss Rebels [IMG]
Venue: Georgia Dome - Atlanta, GA
    * -Game to be played in Week 2
As you can see there will certainly be entertaining games to watch right out of the gate this season. The tradition of playing cupcake teams early in the season is gone, and that is something any football fan can cheer about.
What are your thoughts on these games? Voice your opinions below.

Washington AD today announced new head coach Javier Gomez. Hoping to build on what Steve Sarkesian began Coach Gomez inherits a good blend of talent on both sides of the ball. Coach Gomez had this to say. "I expect our seniors especially QB Keith Price and SS Sean Parker to lead us back to the top of the Pac 12 and to be playing Bowl games every year."
Offensively we'll continue the pro style offense leaving heavily on Junior Sankey to carry to load. With Williams and Jenkins being the top receiving threats.
Defensively starting Mike LB John Timu is expecting a big season. Joining Sean Parker with be top 5 star recruit Shaq Thompson with a season under his belt with expect him to take the next step and solidly our 4-2-5 defense in the secondary. Expectations this year are to improve upon last years record of 7-6.
